  1. I bought this as a 302. Looking to ID what kit it came out of.
  2. I always thought nailheads were 401 and 425, go figure.
  3. Gorgeous. How many of those do you have? Just curious.
  4. I like this. Did you make the trunk couch? My shop needs one too.
  5. I know it is the same here. But we try not to work 16 hours, and often succeed.
  6. There is still the early mornings and evenings.
  7. Absolutely love it. jealous of the paint and engine. A pleasure to look at.
  8. I am flattered that you would even look at my stuff.
  9. Amazing how a full masking will let stuff through. After the touchups. The chassis. Behold the sleek and mighty 2CV engine.
  10. Whether they do it or not I like it. Crates, especially closed ones have a touch of mystery about them. I find it tells a story.
  11. A pile of goodies from shapeways. showing the AN fittings and LS3 OBX intake among others.
  12. X2
  13. Chassis/floorpan coming along. Just when you thought you painted all the surfaces that will show, you discover you didn't. Anyway, touchups are a gig part of this modeler's life. Better results the second time around.
  14. Thanks guys, that was a fun build. I guess now I'll have to attempt similar salvage jobs with some of these.
  15. Painting small parts. Was coming along nicely with the body. There was an area where the fenders meet the cowl that was thin so I gave it a little extra. It spat out some gritty stuff. Have I ever told anyone I hate this part?
  16. What is there left to say? I love it.
  17. 1/24
  18. Back in 1968 there were four of us living together in an apartment at University. Two of us had pulled out about halfway through the first semester after discovering we were in the wrong programs. So we decided to go on a trip around the US and Canada. We began looking for a cheap car and found a used 2CV. One evening, reinforced by a few beers , we figured we had enough left in our student loans to pay for our trip but not enough to buy the car. So we hit our respective parents for a temporary loan which we would repay upon selling the car at our return. It turns out the answer was pretty well the same from both parents :" Never mind a loan. You are going to take a job and earn your next semester". So that is as close as we got to owning a 2CV. Fast forward 40+ years I saw the Airfix model and had to buy it. So here we go. There was a broken part in what appears to be some linkage. It wasn't in the bag so it may be on the factory floor. I made one. This looks like it'll be a fun build.
  19. Love it. You did a much better job of Chevyfying the Ford roof than I did with mine. Beautiful work.
