REdid (heavy on the RE) the fender/running board assembly, added stuff to the interior. Assembly on the way. Had to use larger screws, white metal was stripped. Will have to move the driver's side front wheel in somehow. Boy, what an ordeal!

1941 Chevy pickup, well used

Love it. I have to practice doing that. -
Not today, but a few days ago, on the way to a medical appointment for my wife, dropped in the only hobby shop within 500 miles of here. Didn't buy anything but had a good long chat with the owner. She is looking at retiring and closing up too. Has sold the building already. One of the last, small mom & pop operations anywhere "near" here (150 miles).

Added the pinstripe, foiled vent window dividers, vent window "glass", door handles and cleared it. Didn't add the pinstripe to the upper molding as it would have been as wide as the molding itself. This will be the roughest, crudest 34 Chevy model in existence.

It might be interesting to make a memorial of sorts which would incorporate his book along with a couple of the models that are in it.

I am pretty sure this is what happened David. The body color was supplied by the same store who supplied the paint for the 1:1, so I assumed it was automotive paint and used an automotive clear. The rest of the car will be cleared with acrylic.

Stripped the fenders. Added hood handles, trunk handle, rear and quarter glass. After a couple more rounds of touch ups, the wheels should be ready.
-
"Chromed" the hood handles. Installed the wheels & hubcaps to the spare tire covers. Finished the hood foiling. Added the grille and rad cap to the shell. Painted the roof insert.
-
Started adding the pinstripe and the foil. Decided to clear the fenders before adding the running board rubber......Back to the strip tank. Or can this be sanded and reshot?

She's a beauty.
