  1. So Daniel, are you all moved in now there in the land of weed happy folks? David S.
  2. Hey Chad, I love the color choice and wheels on there!! Can you please give us a pic of the interior? The reason I mentioned the top is that I have heard that some kits come with the A pillars bowed (curved) over from packaging issues!! David S.
  3. See . . . now that looks nice!
  4. Does the roof fit bad like that? Or is there some tweaking yet? David S.
  5. But I sure wish someone talented would do just that!! There are still some real good resin casters around, so we can just be hopeful, maybe!?! David S. P.S.- I want at least 2 of these myself.
  6. That one looks great too! How come, I wonder, that there can be so many built almost exactly the same way!?! Very cool guys!!! And I wish I had funds to be bidding on that green one. Well I can maybe still find one when I do. David S.
  7. I like it, using all the otherwise never used parts in those kits is the way to go! The finished result is a car that looks like a real driver car. Where's the keys? (John quote) Or in this case I should say, "Mind if I give it a crank, and go once around the block"? David S.
  8. Curt, I like what you built there! I remember when Patrick did his (nice job Patrick) and I was thinking that I would like to find one of those around here. We don't have any well stocked hobby shops around here, Milwaukee is the closest for me. Great job to both of you for building a real sweet combo there!! David S.
  9. You can't have too many '40 Ford coupes!?! Can you? I will watch this for sure. David S.
  10. Those don't come with window glass either? I guess it is a bit tough to make that work!?! But it looks cool, good job!! David S.
  11. Old Monogram kit? Molded in oil pan, bright red color! A pic of the motor don't give us much to go on Dave. But I love '70 Mustangs . . . soooo David S.
  12. I had a typo on my posting that I fixed. I meant you need a clear that won't burn or haze, craze, ruin or whatever! David S.
  13. Hey Evan, Also a gloss coat can lighten up the appearance of a finish in most cases, and will make it much more shiny that's for sure. But you need to use a clear coat that will NOT burn into your color coat! If you used Testors lacquer, then try Testors clear coat on top. But be sure to do this before any polishing! And again like Bill said, practice make perfect in painting. David S. P.S.- The yellow that on there looks real nice to me, so I think you are off to a great start already sir!!
  14. I agree with Andy! I was at first thinking that this man has checked into the "Happy Farm"!! (see what I did there) But now I like it too! I can't help but think that longer fenders would balance it out a bit though. There is this '36 Ford custom that was stretched way back in the body, but he pulled the fenders back with the body lines and it looked really kool that way!! Just my thoughts sir, here is a pic of that car. David S.
  15. What is the color you used on this? It looks kinda like a gold color, but sometimes it's hard to tell in photos because of lighting, etc.! Should be a very cool build though. David S.
  16. Yeah, that is just spectacular!! I see why it took a while to build. With those details added, I would think it would take even longer! She's a true beauty, that is an era that I love in Stock Car racing. David S.
  17. Boy O boy!! Just a bit of chrome and she is really popping Dave. I love the cat photo also, we have 2 cats that let us live in their house. Kinda nice of them!! David S.
  18. Paul is so right! I paint white walls all the time. If you reduce the paint down to a bit thicker than water you can lay it on thick and just let it dry. When it dries it will shrink down flat and look even better than pad printed tires!! Just leave them lay flat while they dry, and if the paint runs it runs down into the tires center. That is no problem to remove, or just cover up when the wheels go in! Antique white works best because it looks far more real than the bright white color of pad type printed tires. David S.
  19. Yeah, . . . that motor is tight!! Nice work. David S.
  20. Any progress is good progress Justin!! I too am glad to see it back on the current hits list. David S.
  21. This will be a cool one to watch! David S.
  22. That will look great, and that is a really clean promo you have there. Every time I see one I want it's so beat up that I don't bother even thinking about spending the big jingle $$ on it!! Some Keystone classics would look real nice on a car with those body lines!! David S.
  23. Wow . . . . that's nice Dan! I'm looking forward to more. David S.
  24. I'm loving every minute of it!! This is a very, very cool build! You gotta just love those old and gnarly cars that they used to race. Keep it coming please!?! David S.
