  1. Please keep this beauty going for us, it is a super kool chop job. And the '40 standard is the perfect choice for such an undertaking for sure! By the way, you seem to have some other goodies lurking in the back ground there!! David S.
  2. I just caught up on this thread also, and this is awesome!! Your details are really cool, stance is perfect, and love the color choice!! David S.
  3. I just caught up on this build Steve, and she is a true beauty!! David S.
  4. Thanks Tony! I'm glad you like the wheels Janne, they are something I came up with myself. Simple to do! The Redline decal is from a kit from Revell (68 Charger) ! Then I put those over a set of whitewall with insert type tires from Monogram, and the wheels are BBS style from an AMT kit I think!?! I will likely use those on another build though! Snake you nailed it!! It's the AMT '59 Corvette with the red car on the box top photo.
  5. I know that one thing I do want is the shaved door handles. That is part of what I like about the 2 cars pictured above. And I need to keep the body work to a minimum! With all the other things I have to get together quickly, like wheel choice, colors, etc.!
  6. To start this thread I would like to show some more recent inspiration photos I found last night. I have wanted just such a look as pictured here, now I have some better stuff to work with!
  7. I am going to (just for fun) start a thread for my '59 Corvette club racer build I guess!?! If I'm going have fun finally building it, I might as well share what I'm up to here! David S.
  8. Very cool indeed!!
  9. Very cool! Nice job on both.
  10. Oh yeah, also I love the Flight-Master name too!! Cool play on words!!! David S.
  11. I too just love the things you come up with Dax!! Following along on your 32 Ford coupe (if I remember right) was a lot fun. Some of those pics I even saved for inspiration to hopefully try something fun myself!! Your imagination on these cool little builds is up there with the old school movie prop builders!!! You need to do a "Heavy Metal" style animated short flick and use those little gems. I would watch it for sure!! Maybe with the Lego super heros or something. Or Wallace and Grommet!?! LOL!! Build happy, David S.
  12. Yeah, those are kool, right!?! They are the mock ups from Revell that were from 2015. Before they released the kit in 2016! Such a sad memory really!! I have only 1 of the Revell '30 Ford coupe kits, my plan was to grab a few, . . . . but!!! Brad (Squirrel) posted them for me on this thread, somewhere back there!?!? Thanks for reminding me how neat they are Greg!!! A great Hot Rod kit builder on a another forum bought one or both of them from the gentleman who had them. David S.
  13. Yes sir! Maybe 5 or 6 years on that one!! Ok, thanks. I will post up a few showing it's status for now, then where I'm going with it very soon. David S.
  14. I want to bring this one back, since I have now returned from what feels like the "Land of the Dead". My comment here right now is so I might find it again soon!! David S.
  15. I want in too!?! The subject matter is cars and trucks? All I have to do is dig around under my bench and see what is do-able in that amount of time!?!? Stalled a year or more you said, and that covers everything I have that is started! LOL!! They had to parole me sooner or later!! Just kidding, nothing that bad!! Just woke up from my coma!! David S.
  16. Here is a pic of some other goodies I got from Ed! (Drag City Castings) - '34 Ford 5 window chopped coupe - Old racing style? bucket seats for a Hot Rod build - And more kidney bean small hole Halibrands This '34 body is so nice and clean. Inside and out! And the fit to the kit fenders is the same as the kit body!! David S.
  17. I recently received some nice parts from "Drag City Castings"! And I just love what Ed does with resin!! -Custom seats for Hot Rods, etc. -Finned Buick drums w/backing plates attached -'32 Ford stock firewalls -2 styles of Halibrand wheels that I just love (the battery was mine already! LOL!!) David S.
  18. That's very fitting place for that to be DC (DC Comics) David S.
  19. I love it!! Can't wait to see more!
  20. I like the way you think!! This is what I need to do, we have a 2 month window here. And that's not all at once!! A little here, a little there really!!! Are you using a different frame under that 34 R/P? I have that kit, and that slotcar chassis just don't look right to me!?! David S.
  21. Yeah, I have to agree with Robert!! I'm in awe of this build Dave! David S.
  22. Why so many Rex? They do look good though!!!
