  1. Anthony, First off, this car looks amazing!! I have to ask please, did you use regular Monogram decals, or are they aftermarket ones from somewhere? I found some a long time ago on the great "Wacky World Web" that were some real nice alternate versions that somebody was producing that I just loved. But I never saw them again! David S.
  2. Ray, If you are doing this just like the one in the photo, it's going to look really cool for sure! I'm watching with great interest. Build on sir, David S.
  3. Brian, Your sectioning work on this build is truly top notch my friend!! I'm a watchin' yooo!! Carry on- David S.
  4. Well I'm going nuts waiting to see more photos of this Beauty!! I have wanted to do a high end type BadMan kit myself, I'm still trying to find a set of the aftermarket MadMan 502 decals to use on it. David S.
  5. Nice paint work Todd, very sparkly blue for sure! What is the paint and color please? David S.
  6. Thanks Tom, I'm sure you will find a way to raise the bar just a bit higher though. Or raise the roof, as it were in this case! My plan is to run some welting on the outside edge, and contrast paint the part when done. David S.
  7. I'm starting to think that this the only way to build a 41 Plymouth!! I have had one for a while now, and had found no inspiration until now. Nice work Travis, still watching with full interest!!! Gas on my friend, David S.
  8. Thanks Mark, and yes, sometimes it's almost weird the things you can find to work when needed! I was pretty happy that the hood section when cut down and trimmed fit quite well. Some tweaking will be needed, but not too bad over-all! But it matches the curve of the roof perfectly. Better once it's set in the roof just a bit better. "Build it and they will come" David S.
  9. This will be cool, something to drive on the dark side of da moon! David S.
  10. Then I was making myself crazy trying to form a part from a Ala Kart kit to fit in the roof opening. But just tonight I discovered a most unlikely part that fit the curve of the roof perfectly- It's a hood from a 1988 Dodge Daytona! Here is some pics of what I was attempting to do with these parts I mentioned. Building happy again, David S.
  11. I am very happy to say that I finally have some things nailed down for me to get going again on this build. My big stalls were the motor choice, and how to fill a couple big holes I made in the body. - The one hole was the trunk opening that I cut out. And I have a new deck lid for that problem. ( Thanks Tom ) - The motor choice going to be a regular old 409. - Then the other biggie was that I cut open the top and needed a removable insert piece for that. So first here is the motor-
  12. I have used this product for a great many thing before, and I just love it! If you keep that little cap on, and store it plunger side down, it lasts quite well also. David S.
  13. Have they found crop circles or anything of that nature near your home also? Because then maybe we are getting somewhere! Sorry, I could not resist, David S.
  14. I think it looks good! Wiring motors is not easy to do at all. Keep up the good work!! David S.
  15. Yes, I wish for the same thing around here. Only Nascar all the time! But Doug, at least you have the Olympics!! Just goofing with ya', I love this dio! That cloud of dust must have been hard to do!?! Race on people, David S.
  16. I like it a lot!! My problem is I never get to this area where the cool dio's are. Keep up the good work, you great gobs of creativity! Build on my friend, David S.
  17. Your pic choice is wicked cool!! That Dodge race motor looks just mean. David S.
  18. Travis, I prefer to see a detailed work in progress myself. That way many question I might have are answered right away in the details! We will be looking forward to what you have to post here. Build on sir, David S.
  19. Can we see your car? Now I'm curious! David S.
  20. Yes, those are very nice marbles that they use. Only the best put into those cans!! LOL!! David S.
  21. Thanks Sam, just wondered if maybe they added a cool custom version. David S.
  22. That looks great Sam! The charcoal color looks just right on that car. Does that kit come with just the one top insert piece? I have been wondering about that for a while now. David S.
  23. That's a good idea BTD! Luckily the windshield I used was a junk one that I kept for just that kind of thing. And James, I think I will try the copper just to see the results on that one! I have a build going on that I'm now planning to use the blue over-coat on for sure. But I am not positive what base color yet. I tried a fade color with blue and purple that came out pretty cool, so I will be using that on a body very soon!! David S.
  24. The green looks real nice on that car. Interior colors work well too. I love it!! David S.
  25. Richard, The car and the barn building look awesome!! David S.
