Yeah, the wheels look great like that! The modeling world just can't have enough Model A's buzzing around. IMHO anywho! I have a stalled build of a Baja Beast that will have green steelies on it. David S.

That is some real nice paint work there! Nice build you got going for you. David S. -
Allen, all those colors look real great together. David S.

Nice stuff here Brad! That is so very true guys, I can't even focus very well on chrome parts when I'm working on them because they are just too shiney! Silver paint and some black wash look more realistic I think. Happy Modeling, David S.

Wow, thanks for sharing that Brad! Is the one in the bottom photo a build of yours? It looks awesome with '32 grill and shell on it. I can't find info anywhere on new kits coming from Round2models or Revell! David S.

Those are such cool little cars. You are doing a amazing job on that also! That color and finish look so very good on that car. Living here in the States I have never even seen one of those little gems. Great work sir, David S.

Dennis, That looks excellent for certain! I wish I had known about how easy the '32 5window trunk was to fit on the '30 coupe resin body. My thoughts are that I had the body lines of the ''33 or '34 coupes in my head. I wish I had a Revell kit here available, I would have dug around in the box and seen that as a option. I have wanted at least one of those for a while now. Anybody out there looking to do a bit of trading? Thanks again the the input and help on this! Happy Kitbashing to you all, David S.

Cool custom there! I like that two-tone work on the paint. Lots of neat details. David S.

I like it a lot! Drag cars are only pretty looking for half of a season of racing at best. So it looks very realistic! David S.
-
I wish now that I had gone that route from the start! My ideas are going that direction for sure. Inside the trunk would look great with a oil cooler, and a rear end cooler, plus the battery, etc.
-
Thank you Mark, I have not received a lot of helpful feedback or comments, don't know if it's a lame build or something!?! I have never done a build thread before, and now I think I know why! But thanks again. David S. Also thanks to Matt, I hope it meets to your approval Sir!?!

It looks real good for what your working on right right now. Some kits are hard to get the woodgrain on to look right, but that's a very darn good start at it there! David S.

Bradley, thank you for the info. I would have bet my life on it that it would not fit good! If you post a pic for me I would be grateful, I get inspiration from stuff like that. I think I can get it to sit a bit lower with some mods that I have come up with. And I have a thought on the gas tanks that will take less room in the trunk. I'm thinking 2 bullet tanks and a battery in the trunk will be a start for that idea.

I want one of each, where might I look for these? David S.

Hey Bradley, I would love to use a trunk lid like that for sure! But I don't have one, and the '32 has a more sweeping body line than the '30. Also '32's are much bigger than Model A's are. I do thank you for the help though, and the only '29 roadster parts I'm using here are the frame and the floor panel. It's very different front end, and the axle will be about 10 or 12 mm's farther forward. David S.

Thanks for the help Richard, I do enjoy the feedback because this is a rather new undertaking for me. To get it a lot lower I will lose the trunk view I was after when cutting it open! But, the mock up idea is very helpful! I was just fiddling with it a moment ago, and I realized that I will have to do many such mock ups to make this one work out. I also think that I might just have to buy a couple more of those bodies to do in different ways. Very low with a Z'd frame and no open trunk will be my first one! David S.

Hey Nick, that body color is nice! But, . . . . can I ask why blue on the engine block? '68 Chargers are a big favorite of mine over the more popular '69's that everybody loves. David S.

Oh yeah, . . . I likey-likey! I have also wanted to do one like that for a long time. And I think that will be next on my list for sure! David S. -
Ford Escort RS1800
mod3l Lover replied to afx's topic in WIP: Other Racing: Road Racing, Land Speed Racers
You could do a half clear and half painted kit! That would be real cool. I did a Richard Petty Charger kit that way back in the 70's. David S. Oh, . . and by the way, that Escort is looking completely awesome!! -
Jason, that looks just great so far! I look forward to seeing it built. David S.
-
Yeah Matt, good eye! I was so happy to have it when I chopped that trunk out! That's not the only part that came from the batch of goodies you sent me. The flathead is also from that stuff. David S.

The color looks just right on that car. Nice work on your Lincoln 4dr land boat! David S.

How very cool! "Peace Out Man" David S.

That is one cool 350Z! I never do kits like that because I don't know anything about the real cars. But I like to look at them! David S.
-
Nie, that is looking great. You must have been very busy just putting those decals on that car! David S.
