  1. This is looking awesome! David S.
  2. Nice work here, I just love it! David S. It's a Dave thing!
  3. Ray, I look forward to seeing this build come along. Having been a Nash,Rambler and AMC fan for quite some time. Are you doing this paint version? (photo below) I always liked that look better! David S. Sorry Ray, but just had to add this other tidbit!
  4. I had that Thunderbird HotWheels in green with a black vinyl top! Everywhere I went I had that car with me. There is a few I would like to do also, this will be a fun thread for sure. David S. P.S.- I still have at least 300 HotWheels to this very day. But now they are all still on the card!
  5. It is a shame, I would get at least 2 of them for sure. 2 cases that is!! LOL!!! David S.
  6. That color on there looks so perfect! Again, I can't help but say how beautiful this car is looking. I just love it! David S.
  7. Those tires look great! To give you an idea of how that can work on a Manx I have one I'm doing with painted wide whites also. David S.
  8. Yeah, that's what I was wondering too!?! I would much like to see this car, I love dem der gassers for sure!! David S.
  9. Yeah, I did the same. Your 1:1 Bug is real nice! I had a Beetle I used to borrow often from a girlfriend years ago. I just loved driving that car, and it did real good in the snow around here! Also I noticed that Redbull can on your coil, "Redbull gives you spark" as the Tele ad goes! I will be watching your kit build, looks good so far! David S.
  10. Hey Matt, Yes it was getting to be an adventure in learning all kinda new things! Drinking through straws, turning pages with poster tack stuff on fingers, having my wife opening jelly jars for me. So I had to give up pretty much everything I liked for a very long time, and worse at the pre-surgery months. Lost my job and a great many other things! No extra funds for even mailing a package, or just about anything. David S.
  11. I'm looking forward to seeing this build myself! That kit looks interesting to me, and has for a very long time. Build on! David S.
  12. Hey Kerry, Truth be told, they are the same old worn out hands, but they are working better again! 10 screws, and 3 titanium plates later. David S.
  13. I did think of cutting down a 6 carb intake log and scratching a adapter for it. That would look pretty tough on there. But I think I will likely take the easy route and use the 3 carb set up. I'm still breaking in my new hands here, the feeling is so strange! But I love all the helpful input!! David S.
  14. That looks incredible Ray!! It will be fun watching this one. David S.
  15. That came out beautiful, you must be very proud!?! And that interior is like you would expect in a car that can be driven in the rain! This is just awesome, I love it!! David S.
  16. Yeah, I agree. I need to get this motor put together and then see it in the car. New motor mounts need to get added to frame, then at least I can do a better mock up. David S.
  17. I hate the fact that I'm the type that keeps wanting to change my mind on things in my builds. That being said, I'm happy that I will be sticking with my choices that I have made! (motor, wheels, etc.) Since the motor is a RedRam Dodge hemi I was thinking I should use carbs instead of injectors on the blower I'm using. And I had a hard time deciding on the headers also. After all, on a Hot Rod the headers kinda stand out on the build big time! So this is what I have come up with. What do all you Hot Rod fans think of this stuff?
  18. That's one sweet gasser there! David S.
  19. It looks great so far! And I see that I'm not the only one running around with paint on my thumbnail? David S.
  20. R2 D2 in the passenger side for the big finish? David S.
  21. What did you use for the wagon portion on the back? It really seems to belong there with that look! I love it, keep 'er coming . . please!?! David S.
  22. I don't understand why you are calling it a curbside build. Are you taking that approach to the build now? I mean, are you yanking the motor out, or just gluing the hood shut or . . . ? What you had going there was quite nice, why change it? Just wondering? David S.
  23. Oh, oh!! How cool. I have that kit. I haven't built it yet . . . but I do have it! I'm going to enjoy this, David S.
  24. This has really been a lot of fun for me. I have had to live (modeling wise) in a vicariously watchful manner for a long time here with my builds. So this kinda superb workmanship is just a joy for me, I think you are doing a awesome job here! Keep 'er coming . . please!?! David S.
  25. Yes, I agree! That's a perfect Hot Rod build right there. Motor looks great, as well as everything else. David S.
