  1. I call bullhocky. He didn't build that, he invented a shrinkray and shrank a restored one down to scale. 😮 Incredible modeling skills. Jeff
  2. Yea, I almost got suckered in with one of their videos about the upcoming 2025 '57 Chevy Belair. When I saw that the bowtie logo was backwards, I realized it was a fake. Very good fakes and convincing videos. I wish Chevy really was putting out something with style again, might bring me back to their dealership. Jeff
  3. Cool project. Nothing looks better than some Budd shiny stainless passenger cars. But that finish gradually was sanded down by the micro dust kicked up by the thousands of miles of railroading these cars saw over their life on class 1 railroads. I've been around many stainless cars over the years on numerous tourist railroads and even though they were washed regularly, the matte finish on the stainless was noticeable. They still shined, just not as bright as when new. So even if there's still some corrosion on the surface when you're done, they'll look great after all the attention you're planning on giving them. Can't wait to see them when all finished. Jeff
  4. Nice job. Cant wait to see where this one goes Jeff
  5. Cool video. I like the scale rotaries in action too. https://youtu.be/9NT6gEiqpWA?si=KNoAZFKylcg11Uz5 Jeff
  6. Cool Jeep. Nice modifications to make it like yours. Jeff
  7. That's cool. My favorite era of monster trucks, the early days like yours. That's what I grew up with and modeled back in the day when all of those great kits were first released. The AMT ones were the most accurate as they had the scale 5 ton military axles and 66 inch Goodyear terra tires. The Monogram kits came in a close second as they had the bigger 74 inch Goodyears, but the suspension was too goofy and weak looking. The MPC kits had decent suspension, but the tires were undersized. It was fun mixing parts to make different trucks back then. I really like the Luv body on there. Very period correct. Nice build. Jeff
  8. Wow! That is smashmouth paint. Very cool model and I vaguely remember those paint jobs from back in the day. Well done. Jeff
  9. Really cool build. I like all of your custom work. Never heard of that movie, now my curiosity has the better of me. I love Big Trouble In Little China too. Jeff
  10. Fortunate enough to never break anything on my '57 Chevy while drag racing, but I did shear off a pinion shaft on the rear while trying a burnout. Didn't have the slapper bars on the axle tubes yet and the rear twisted when I dumped the clutch. Luckily, I was in front of my garage, so I inspected the damage, pushed the car back into the garage, and closed the door for another day. Made this trophy for the local slot car drag strip for our AA/FA class. The winner's names were recorded on the trophy each week for all of posterity. It's topped by a nitromethane piston/rod remains I bought off of ebay years ago. I thought it was appropriate for the class. Jeff
  11. Well, we never thought we'd see the Garwood garbage packer either, yet it was finally released. Maybe..... Jeff
  12. I think Coca-Cola by far is the biggest. Not as many race cars, but they did put it on a monster truck. But they aren't really sponsored vehicles like the Miller beer ones are either. Jeff
  13. Found a supply of the Scout grills. Please close. Thank you. Jeff
  14. A very upstanding gentleman. Thank you for pursuing this and I hope all the best for you and your family. Thank you from myself and the modeling community. Jeff
  15. Just coming back to this build because I found this diecast truck and realistic tires that would work well for any of the eary monster trucks that used 48" tires instead of the usual 66" terra tires more common on monster trucks. I found it at Tractor Supply for $7.99 and change. That's cheaper than most aftermarket tires out there. The rims aren't really usable, but I can find something that will work with them. I loved your early Bigfoot build and thought about doing the Bigfoot Ranger and the Shuttle, both of which used 48" tires, like in the prototype photo. Also, USA-1 was originally dark blue and had 48" tires to start. Jeff
  16. Wow, the Empire has really fallen on hard times, can't even afford to paint their AT-ATs. Great weathering job on an interesting model. The snow looks cool also. Good job. Jeff
  17. Very cool builds. I love that movie, one of the best naval movies made, even if it is fantasy. Your attention to detail is fantastic. I can't wait to see the other planes. Good job. Jeff
  18. That came out very nice. I really like the color combo. Great job. Jeff
  19. Bump. Hopefully, someone has a extra they are interested in trading. Or maybe knows any of the Olson family and might have access to the masters for these. I know a fellow resin caster who does very high quality work and has cast different grills from originals for me in the past. Thank you, Jeff
  20. That's a great looking color. Can't wait to see this one finished. Jeff
  21. Very cool build, that came out nice. Good job. Jeff
  22. Very Cool. Loved Zombieland. Very nice build and attention to detail. Jeff
  23. Thank you for looking. I also hope that someone will pick up the Olson Bros. line. I have many Scout and Bronco projects I was hoping to use their parts on. Jeff
