  1. Looks cool! I like that colour also.
  2. Now that's a monster engine in there! Good looking car!
  3. I'm going to try black, but if I don't get it to lay down nicely, I'll rethink the colour.
  4. A while back, I built a support bracket to mount an electric fan that was in a '34 Ford sedan kit. I used Grandt Line bolts to secure it to the rad, so it's ready to be installed. I also built inside handles for the doors. I'm hoping to keep the car looking like an older build, but sometimes you have to update things like the electric fan. I also scratchbuilt friction shocks for the front axle. I guess slow progress is better than no progress.
  5. Beautiful Ray! Love the wheels too!
  6. Very realistic progress! You make terrific dioramas...this will be no exception!
  7. Great car! Real nice colour!
  8. Out for a drive today after having blood work done, and went down a road in the country, and saw several old vehicles parked in a cluster, the ones that put a BIG smile on my face were a pair of '47 Ford pickups covered in surface rust.
  9. Back in the day, I entered contests, and have won a number of awards over the years. I know that if my health and eyesight were as good now as they were when I was younger, I'd be getting lots more built. And I find it frustrating to feel I used to be able to build O.K. stuff, but now I just can't seem to pull off the builds I want . So, I guess I'll just do what I can, when I can, and hope for the best. Bottom line, I still love ALL aspects of building model cars! And this is a great place to show stuff, and get support from others.
  10. I like the look of this one! Nice weathering also.
  11. Great colour!
  12. Neat little hot rod VW Curt! What is the rear sheet metal? Looks vaguely familiar.....
  13. Love the frame colour! Good to see this is still on the bench and looking so great!
  14. Stunning! Beautiful job!
  15. Amazing detail for the small scale! Well done!
  16. Very classy automobile. I have one in my stash, but was afraid to touch it, in case I messed it up. Wish this kit had wire wheels!
  17. Go with your gut on this one Harry...maybe a start now, because you're pumped, then enjoy the summer a bit too.
  18. I think it's great that you have your first model build! They show us how much we've progressed over the years with our abilities. Now that's a keeper!
  19. Got the primer coat on most of the car...couple pieces I'm still working on... Just thought I'd post showing how the grille will look after I paint the shell/headlights. I need to clean up and re-putty the pillars where it was chopped. It's close, but not to my standards. Also shows my firewall from .020 sheet. I still have to add stuff to it like fuel block etc. I think if I post once in a while, I might get some progress happening. Too much real life in the way!
  20. Beautifully done, as usual, Harry!
  21. Looks really nice!
