New F1 movie. Anyone interested??
TonyK replied to gbdolfans's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I'll have to see it since I'm a race fan but for some reason I'm not getting a good vibe from this. I could be completely wrong but just have a feeling. -
I agree. That color is different but it looks good.

This is my first experience with a complete 3d model. I've built a couple of other 3d models but they were fairly easy and not an entire car. I kept it simple and learned some things so hope to do better with future builds.

Goofy. Saturday was sunny and warm so I washed both cars. Sunday was back to the 50's and some rain. Monday was windy and rainy and even some thunder. Still managed to sneak out between the bad weather and take the dogs for a walk. Spring weather I suppose.

Nice clean build. I like funny cars too but the chassis building can get a bit repetitive after awhile.

Opened a 2-pack of Loctite super glue and both of the tubes were rock hard at the top and soft at the bottom. Completely useless. Bought it less than a month ago. Going to be tough checking another package since they're in a blister pack but think I might open it at the customer service desk. I've always used Loctite and this is the first time this has happened.

Using the Revell latest sprint car models and aftermarket decals I finally finished Brad Sweet and Kyle Larson. Started these a long time ago and don't remember what company the decals were from but they were a Fred Cady type where everything is separate. Made for a difficult time as they weren't exactly meant for these models it seemed. I added Hoosier decals on the inside of all the tires but after wrestling the wheels and tires to go together correctly the decals all came off. Used Tamiya white and light metallic blue. Still learning how to take close-up pictures with my phone but not happy with the results just yet.

Good eye! The 2 older gentlemen came from some old figures I had and the box said Henry Ford was one of them.

I had forgotten about those calendars. Used to get them from some contact I had but all that is "politically incorrect" now. Guessing Snap-On calendars are boring now too?

Black and Decker tools. It used to be these were the top of the line but not so sure now. I've had a hedge trimmer and grass trimmer for about a year and they are both manual types. The hedge trimmer had a loose handle and I managed to make it work better with duct tape. Doesn't look good but I'm able to use it without the handle falling off. Yesterday the grass trimmer went "snap" and some plastic part inside that controls the spring broke so it's useless.

The only movies I saw him in were The Doors and Tombstone and I thought he was great.

I'm surprised the jewelers won't attempt to fix it themselves. Do you have a clock shop in town? Maybe they would have a look.

Clint Curtis super modified

I like your inspiration. You copied the picture perfectly. Great looking model! -
Very nice job on this. It looks good despite your troubles. I built this model awhile back and had fun with it. Sometimes it's nice to not feel too serious about a build.

Not very good but seeing the weather in some other areas I'm not going to complain.

I have many models going at the same time and a couple of things motivate me to finish them. One is when you suddenly realize it's darn near done and has been sitting off to the side while you've started another one. The other is when you can't find a part or two and when you find them it's best to get them glued on and continue before it happens again. Yes, music is a must and the tempo/beat helps when shaking a bottle of paint.

Issue 226 is On Its Way

I'm happy to say I got mine in Oregon. Hope the rest of you get yours soon. -
Turned on my tv this afternoon and I have no NHL channel. Called Comcast (actually my wife did) and spent time going through the umpteen questions from the automated system. Finally they will call us back which they did and got to talk to a live person. Again, my wife is doing this because I have a hard time understanding broken English. Nothing against the person on the phone but I just have a hard time with it. Spent an hour answering stupid questions such as what kind of tv we have and where is it at, etc. oh heaven's to Betsy!?! Asked if we used the voice command on the remote or clicked the numbers. Are you kidding?! Kept doing things but nothing ever got my channel working. Finally ended the call with them saying they will continue to do things that may take up to 2 hours. Well, was hoping to watch a hockey game in 1 hour and I highly doubt it will be fixed. I'm wondering if there's a problem on the NHL network end but apparently Comcast doesn't have this information.

I'm being patient but when you see all the different places getting their magazine and even a couple of other countries you start to get frustrated. Very strange how it's a random delivery process. -

A couple of issues ago I never got the magazine. They sent a replacement which is nice but I feel bad that they needed to do this because of someone else's incompetence. Got a feeling it's happened again. -
Got this from Hobby Lobby as a winter project. All parts are pre-colored and need to be glued (glue included) and a lot of things need to be formed/created from the materials provided. Pillows, bedding, window coverings, etc. Some of this is kind of fun and some of it is challenging but overall enjoyable for something different. I included a couple of figures to liven things up.

Excellent work! The weathering, diorama and photography are great!
