  1. Excellent detail painting! I always enjoy looking at something different like this. Great job.
  2. Nice looking model plane. I'm always impressed when the canopy detail painting is done well.
  3. Excellent clean build of one of my favorite drivers!
  4. Too bad when a kit has that many flaws but your model turned out great. Very nice......everything!
  5. I've used peanut butter in the past and get the field mice in a day but this guy doesn't seem interested. The big problem is I have to limit my trap setting at night to spare the squirrels. Can't leave things lying around during the day or something I don't want to injure or kill will end up in them. And my dogs are another thing. This is why I only set them up at night and with the longer daylight now it's very limiting.
  6. I got a little more brave with my 3rd Supermodified build and added a driver, altered the engine a bit, and ran the right bank exhaust out the right side of the car.
  7. I used to enjoy tinkering with electronic gadgets. The old Heathkits were so much fun and I loved the smell of electronic parts and solder, etc.
  8. I've had this little guy running around the last couple of weeks. Yesterday he's out and suddenly quite brave about it. He's eating with the squirrels but they try to chase him off. I've set out mouse traps and finally bought a small contraption with poison bait in it but he hasn't fallen for any of it. I wait until night when the squirrels aren't around so they don't get into anything and then toss it all back in the shed at dawn. Wife keeps saying it's a rat but I don't think so. Rats are really ugly and this just looks like a giant mouse. I know it's not a mouse because I've trapped those little guys before.
  9. Always thought it was interesting how most cats will eat when they're hungry. You could leave food out and it will eat whenever. But then you have this one that wants more and more. Dogs will eat on and on so you have to give them a meal and that's it. Except my son has a little chihuahua and can leave food out and she will eat whenever she's hungry and doesn't abuse that privilege.
  10. Great looking model. Really captures the proper look of the time.
  11. The model, weathering and photography are all excellent!
  12. Brings back memories except there wouldn't have been an Amazon battery in it. No such thing in the 60's. 😀
  13. Hmmmm this is different. Great looking model and figure! Nice job on a rare car.
  14. This has got an aggressive mean look to it. Just right!
  15. A great looking model of a great car. That engine detailing is excellent. You sure have to know what you're doing there. And yes, Jochen Mass passing is sad.
  16. Always thought the Cord was a cool car but never built a model for some reason. Yours looks great!
  17. Always remember when I was a kid my Dad telling me when he was stationed in England with the Air Force he never saw the sun. This was in the 1950's. I found that funny and why I still remember it to this day.
  18. Got an extended version of a "unpaid toll" scam today. Final notice (if only), DMV will confiscate my car, credit will be ruined, along with some other threats. It was quite humorous reading it. btw, I've never been to a place to pay tolls so that makes this even more fun. Idiots.
  19. I think everyone has built that '53 Ford pickup and probably have another in our stash.
  20. Are you sure that's the problem? 😄
  21. I wouldn't call it a classic or a collectible. I'd focus on the "well maintained" part of it as you should be proud of what you've done all these years to keep it in good shape. The person interested can decide for themselves if they consider it a classic or collectible but the fact the car is in excellent shape ought to impress the buyer. It's been a long time since I tried to sell a car but I still remember the characters you end up dealing with. Some try to find fault with everything and others might be respectful of you and the car. Good luck.
  22. I like the stance and I think this goofy looking car lends itself to whatever you want. Nice job.
  23. Several builds going at the same time. I can work on whatever I'm in the mood for when I walk up to the bench. Detail painting, sanding, prepping parts, glue parts together, etc. I can paint a body and set it aside for a week if I want because I've got plenty of other things to keep me busy until it's good and dry.
  24. It hasn't rained here in awhile so I finally watered plants in the yard yesterday and told the wife "It will rain now". Rained over night and this morning.
