I've been having real good luck lately with Tacky Glue, bought in the crafts section at Walmart. And WAY cheaper than "hobby" products (many of which are just basically Elmer's Glue anyway).

Bought this '69 Charger cheap at the local toy show last month. I just finished restoring it--finished pics in Under Glass soon, I hope. It didn't come out half bad. These, of course, are the "Before" pics.

If alcohol doesn't work, try NON-acetone nail polish remover. (I get it at Walmart.) I can't promise it won't hurt Hot Wheels paint, but I've now used it on 1/24 diecasts from maybe a dozen different makers and it's taken the graphics and junk right off without hurting the paint. Test it first, but definitely worth a try. Oh, don't let it get on your windows, though.

Agree completely. If you see any '57 Vette kit that shows or says "flip nose" on the box, RUN AWAY! RUN LIKE THE WIND! The body in that kit is a wretched backbirth. The kit above is a better starting point, but I think it lacks the hard top and some of the racing goodies of the flip-front kit. Best solution would be to start with a one-piece MPC body, then pick up the flip-front kit for all the rest of the parts in it. Unless you want to display the completed model with the front end flipped. Then go ahead and get the flipper kit, as you won't have to worry about the fact that the front and rear sections of the body don't come even close to matching up.

Somebody NEEDS to reproduce this kit in resin. The more I look at these, the more I want one.

This year I finished up a Testor Chezoom I started and painted when it first came out. What was that, 1992, 93? So I guess that's an "amnesty build." Definitely an escape from my Shelf of Doom.

I remembered three more--Otaki (also have it in Airfix and AMT boxes, maybe an ARII one too), Fujimi (which is actually 1/50), and Idea, which is a VERY poor Korean copy of the Fujimi. I just got a second CA P-51H last year, which gives me courage to try to build one of them. I've got the HPM P-51H all built, painted, and decalled, only needs final detailing and assembly to be finished. And it's been that way for at least 4 years. I hate when that happens. I also have a built Aurora P-51H that I"m gonna do as a gear-up "desk model." Should be an interesting project. I've actually BUILT (1/48 P-51Ds) one Hawk, one Revell, one Bandai, one Otaki, and three Monograms.

Never seen the show, but it looks good and knowing you it's as accurate a replica as possible in scale.
