  1. It was at or near the top of the heap in 1975. Sadly, the 1975 heap was a pretty small heap.
  2. Wow, another CrazyJim badass street cruiser! Fabulous as usual!
  3. Wow, very sharp looking! Did you use any kind of primer under that craft paint?
  4. Well, I don't claim to be an expert in these matters, but I'm pretty sure that's a truck.
  5. The color doesn't do anything for me but that is a SUPER clean build! Sweet!
  6. IIRC Pactra went to aluminum lids years before Testor did. They also used PLASTIC bottles instead of glass. Don't thin your plastic-bottle Pactra paint with lacquer thinner or it will chew its way out of there!
  7. Yes, and I've seen hundreds of them since the last time I saw one of THOSE things!
  8. Good one! I got it. HAHAHAHAHHA!
  9. Accord a musclecar? It will be as soon as I get this LT-1 350/M20/3.73 Posi stuffed in it....
  10. You gotta be happy on 4/28!
  11. No, three--4/27, 4/28, and 4/29.
  12. Another ultra-clean Randy B build! (This car is of no particular interest to me, and I only clicked on the thread because I've become a fan of YOUR work. )
  13. Yes, but remember they were singing about street cars. Especially that little old lady's.
  14. Or, if you prefer, 4/27 can be called Chevy/Ford Day!
  15. Great sit! The front's not jacked up nosebleed high, like far too many seem to like to do it.
  16. Well you can't take Beach Boys lyrics TOO literally. After all, they sang about "Super Stock Dodges" in two different songs, when "Super Stock" was a Plymouth trademark. (The Dodge equivalent was Ram.)
  17. We almost let 4/26 slip by without mention! Tomorrow, of course, will be Chevy/Ford Day!
  18. Don't forget the pink slip, daddy!
  19. Yeah, but Harry, being Harry and a mod, could get away with calling us out on stuff that would have gotten us warnings if we'd done it to each other.
  20. ATTN AMC Fans: The new (May) issue of Car Craft has a badass-looking restomod '70 Javelin feature car, followed by a restomod puke-green Gremlin! Must-have issue for AMC freaks.
  21. Nicely done! I have two of these needing resto (both AMT '68s, I think), so I know EXACTLY what you mean about the fragile, fidgety FWD parts. I feel your pain and salute your work on this one.
  22. I've been fighting those lids for decades--probably 30% or more of every bottle I use--but hot water and bigass channel-lock pliers works almost 100% of the time. I've only broken one bottle (which fortunately was almost empty anyway), but I have mangled a couple lids so badly (after repeated plier-ings) that I had to swap them out with the lid from an empty bottle. The lids used to be steel, but I think they're aluminum or some softer metal now.
  23. And I thought it was just me....
  24. What's that whirring sound I hear? Sounds like it's coming from underground. But seriously, how about a build for Harry of black cars, to show our mourning? I just happen to be working on a black '71 Cuda right now, and it'll even have mirrors (just since the kit came with them).
