  8. Love the casting demo Could we see the home made vacuum pump???.......like to try something like that
  9. God look at those wheels ...you guys gotta stop, I am on a spending strike at the moment
  10. Thanks bud Got inspired as I could not find a replacement engine cover/wing on eBay so decided to use some stuff from work and give it a go. That is a dental acrylic resin wing Have lots of flash and mis cast areas to smooth out, but is a better start than full on scratch building the wing. I will do another photo when I am happy with it.
  11. Tried a silicone mould and resin cast of a Fujimi kit's rear engine cover and spoiler to try and replace the missing one from my kit. First time I have tried this. Last pic is the rough fitment with lots to trim, add to and refine, but this should be workable
  12. Wow!!! Superb result
  13. A masterpiece is ready when a masterpiece is ready Please don't stress
  14. Ya, I will do a good workbench/ workspaces and garage posting when they are decently organized These guys have a short attention spans so I didn't do a work in progress thread Harry's passing has hit me pretty hard, but inspired me back to car building love Opening up that big Pocher Bugatti kit is going to be super weird....miss that dude
  15. No Pocher started yet. We are in the house just before Christmas, still lots to do to finish off I got a workbench set up, but most everything is in boxes
  16. How did I miss out on all of this???!!! Gheeze and my favourite builder too. Oh well late to the party, but here I am. Funny, I just bought a 1/24 junkyard Cobra on eBay to do as a repair project Have at it Briz, everything looks great so far

  20. Oh wow that is GORGEOUS !!! paint, engine details, wow just everything Very impressed
  21. Thank you, it has been a bit of work for sure We shall see how happy I am with it when I get the first bit of primer on It feels pretty smooth, but you know how that goes Scott
  22. It is gorgeous!!! Well done man, well done
  23. Got the engine and transmission out and soaked in the oven cleaner. The chrome on the engine block and parts literally melted away almost immediately. The black painted area took just a couple hours. There was a lot of yellow cement present and thankfully most weakened and let parts come off and/or scraped away easily
  24. RIP big guy, sure gonna miss your help on the Pochers
  25. I started watching a pretty good series on building a Porsche scale model...just thought you might wanna have a peek for future ideas
