  1. If you're using a a two-part epoxy in a dual applicator, you might not be dispensing an even ratio of resin and hardener if you're trying to mix a small amount at a time. The thing that sucks about these syringe-type epoxy dispensers is that you always have to mix more than you actually need to obtain an approximately 1:1 mix ratio. Try gap filling CA and place a drop of accelerator on it. When it sets, sand it down by placing it on wet/dry paper and, holding the emblem down with your finger, move it in a figure 8 pattern. Rotate the emblem 90 degrees, so it sands evenly, and repeat until it's completely flat and smooth. If you want to skip the CA/epoxy routine, get some of this. It's a metal epoxy putty which can be thinned with lacquer thinner and is sandable when dry. Thin it enough to where you can easily fill the foil mold and you're in business, man.
  2. What, no free shipping?
  3. I'll bet the sparks it creates while scraping the asphalt are pretty darn impressive.
  4. They were. Kits of all types were pumped out like crazy by the manufacturers and cost 79 cents to two bucks. That was a hour's work fishing coins through subway gratings.
  5. ...-
  6. I like bologna heros with mayo, Kosciusko mustard with lettuce and tomatoes meself. Hmm...reminds of when someone orders an Italian sausage hero off a street cart and tells the guy they want lettuce, tomato, onions, BBQ sauce, extra white sauce, hot sauce and any other condiments that they might've missed, then smugly tell him to give them a diet soda. Why worry about swigging down a regular Coke now? You've already entered Heap O'Calorie territory.
  7. If it was a recent post, it's a lot easier to scroll through a particular forum section to find what you're looking for. It was on page 2 of OTL:
  8. It was posted in the Off-Topic Lounge a couple of weeks ago.
  9. You must've checked out the one in Fair Deal Dan's lot. He's always holding a fire sale.
  10. Around here, RPG's don't even factor into the equation. The playcationing kidults dress like that as a matter of course. Every day is costume time.
  11. Last night we had one of my son's favorites, bacon wrapped peanut butter hot dogs, aka Dixie Dogs, with fresh made steak fries seasoned with my own spicy recipe. Before anyone goes, "Ugh!", try it. I used to make two dozen, by request, every few weeks for his classmates in grade school. Tonight, Chicken Cordon Bleu stuffed with prosciutto and Havarti cheese and spaetzle drowned in Borowik (dried wild forest) mushroom gravy. Tomorrow, linguine with my own white clam and shrimp diavolo sauce. Wednesday, we're having stuffed bacon cheeseburgers. The stuffing is the bacon and cheese inside the burger. This leaves more room to pile stuff on the burger without sliding off when you take a bite. Plus, it's less messy.
  12. The only part you got right is that RoG kits are more expensive. So are the RoG reissues of Revell USA kits. Why? Because RoG can. End of story. RoG does peddle re-boxed older Dragon armor, which are priced for a lot less than the DML kits, though. Regarding import fees, there are no customs duties or import fees imposed on toys shipped from outside the U.S. Model kits are considered toys; so, they are exempt.
  13. Sorry, Lee. I quoted from your post by mistake. Correction made.
  14. According to this review on the original issue kit, written in 2007, the track shoes are vinyl. Probably the same this time around.
  15. Re-edited post.
  16. The seller replied and thanked me. He said that he works and doesn't have the time to check the kits.
  17. I was checking out a kit on ebay a few minutes ago. The seller wrote the following: "Awesome vintage Jo-Han Kit. Appears to be all there, but Please refer to the photos for what’s included as I am not an expert. Actual item is pictured. Thanks!" Appears to be all there.....Not an expert.....Cut the poop already, man. The price he's asking for this kit, and other items he's selling, indicates otherwise. I contacted him and told him to inventory what's in the box against what is shown in the instruction sheet, which is prominently visible in the photos he posted.
  18. Must be nice to have a spare 70 million simoleons laying around. Ferrari 250 GTO sells for world record £52 million - Here’s why it is worth so much
