  1. Obviously, he's an equal among his peers. Stupid people, like lemmings, tend to travel in groups.
  2. I would recommend .50 cal API rounds instead of the traditional 71/2, 8 or 9 shot shells. The main advantage is that API allows you to cook your quarry as you shoot it. You should see what these babies can do to deer or wild boars caught downrange at the .50 cal. Qualification Course in Grafenwohr.
  3. Howzabout a "peace" of this: Delicious Pan Fried Dove Appetizer Recipe Servings: 4 Ingredients 12 Dove 1 cup buttermilk 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 1/2 tablespoon paprika 1 teaspoon kosher salt 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper peanut oil for frying Instructions Remove the breast meat from the dove. Place buttermilk onto a shallow bowl. In another shallow dish combine flour, paprika, salt, and pepper. Dredge the dove breasts into the buttermilk and then into the flour mixture until just coated. Pour about 1/4 inch peanut oil into the bottom of a cast iron skillet and bring to 350 degrees. Fry the dove breasts in batches for about 2 minutes turning once during frying. Remove the dove to a platter and serve with your favorite dipping sauce or my favorite, plum jelly! Seagull, preferably Gulf Coast or Northeast varieties, may be substituted for this recipe.
  4. The last time I was at Raceway Park was for a Dead concert on Sept. 3, 1977. I can actually remember it. Used to go to National Speedway years ago.
  5. I have a couple of 18 x 18 x 1/2" marble floor tiles I use for sanding large parts. They slide onto a 36x18x3/4" plywood board to which I attached 90° 1 1/4 x 1 1/4" aluminum angle stock to secure them. Elmer's Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive works well for attaching sandpaper. You can find it at Target, Walmart, hardware stores and Michaels. With a 40% coupon, an 11 oz. can will set you back about $6.60.
  6. We can take away something positive from this. If it weren't for these stronzos, we wouldn't be able to post stuff like this for entertainment purposes.
  7. She has a promising future in the lucrative department store window display mannequin industry. BTW, anybody got two tens for a five?
  8. New to the novelty range will be a Bankruptcy Courtroom diorama in 1:24 scale complete with detailed auctioneer and bidder figures.
  9. That, and to prevent shoplifting. Those laundry pods have been the favorite target of the five finger discount crowd. The manager at the supermarket down the block from me snagged a dude trying to walk out with 19 bags of Tide Pods. He told the manager that he would have taken more but didn't want anybody in the store to notice. I bet his head whistles whenever he steps out into a stiff breeze.
  10. You can drag and drop them from your computer in the reply box, or click "choose files" .
  11. Social media is the engine driving people to even lower levels of stupid behavior: Teens are eating laundry detergent for the "Tide Pod Challenge" They're probably chewing on ghost peppers with them to cover the soapy taste.
  12. Actually, Hobbico reaps no financial benefits at all, just as an auto manufacturer gets ugatz when someone buys a long discontinued make/model of car from a private seller. Any direct monetary benefit occurs at the distributor/dealer/retailer level. After that, the manufacturer has no skin in the game. Hobbico doesn't figure into the equation regarding possible additional revenues from a kit long before it's even listed on eBay.
  13. It's waterslide decal film, John. If you're planning on depicting cloth, it's already flat black.
  14. You can order Trim Film-Flat Black from direct from Microscale.
  15. Now, that would be must see TV.
  16. Filing for Chapter 11 doesn't necessarily mean that the entire operation will fold. GM reformed without the less profitable divisions pared off.
  17. There was an inkling of this last year. Hobbico Says It Can Not Make Payments For Its Stock Ownership Program
  18. I haven't tried it with C1 Metalizer. I'll have to test it. I did with SNJ Metal Powder; so, you can probably do the same with this stuff. I used light oversprays of MM Metalizer Jet Exhaust, Burnt Iron and Burnt Metal along with applications of Tamiya Smoke, Clear Blue, Clear Orange and Clear Yellow Tamiya Smoke, Clear Blue, Clear Orange, Clear Yellow on jet aircraft I built for a hobby shop display some years ago. The C1 is more durable than the SNJ product and you can mask over it without the risk of dulling or pulling it off. I'd suggest using Parafilm or frisket paper for that. Tip: You can polish Metalizer by using graphite powder on a Q-Tip, or a soft cotton cloth, and lightly buffing it. It works on all shades and doesn't affect the color.
  19. If Stynylrez doesn't meet your expectations, you can try Vallejo Surface Primer, which also is a polyurethane resin-based formulation. Available in 17 colors. Surface Primer Color Range
  20. It's probably the same composition, Rich. Too bad SNJ Powder is no longer available.
  21. Good stuff. I recommend it. Bought it about four years ago and it works as advertised. Just make sure you don't apply it in a room with open windows or a draft. The powder will get on everything and is almost impossible to clean up.
  22. Ditto what Steve said. Rivieras used the same chassis '66-70. An X-Ray Look At GM's X-Frame (1957-1970) '69 Riviera frame
  23. If you happen to have a spare $335.95 (plus $141.24 to cover shipping and import charges) burning a hole in your pocket, this Texaco Oslo can be yours. It's 32" long, which scales out to 1/215 and is identical to your Esso Glasgow.
  24. Up till fairly recently, most smart people would leave their cars just where they were parked on the block if there was a major snowstorm. It wasn't worth the trouble digging them out completely since alternate side parking rules would be suspended for at least a week. Take the subway to where you gotta go. There are plenty of them here.
