  1. The '62 300 glass is the same as and fits the '60 Desoto; so, it'll fit the '60 New Yorker as well.
  2. That's the first release (1990) of that kit. All four releases are the same (Kit No. 2970), just different box art.
  3. Go over to L&B Spumoni Gardens and grab a couple Sicilian slices. You'll be O.K.
  4. That is EL wire, not EL tape. Nonetheless, it'll work.
  5. Really nice! This photo looks like it came from a sales brochure.
  6. A lot of modelers miss that. I did the first time I built it. The trunk easily seats six dead guys in suits with plenty of room for shovels and bags of quicklime.
  7. That is a nice piece of work on that Caddy. The vinyl top is great and the black paint job is beautiful. You might consider touching up the the chromed area immediately behind the headlight housings. It's not indicated in the instructions for either RM '59 Caddy kit; but, that part is body colored on the actual car.
  8. Looks great. The Revell kit is just a repackaged AM kit. From what I understand, Revell purchased all of the remaining AM Grand Sports when the company folded.
  9. This is 2723-200, the '63 Chevrolet Impala HT It had the convertible tub This is 06-713-149, the '63 Impala convertible. From the instruction sheet. One tub fits all.
  10. Yup, the '63 has the a convertible tub with piston panels just like in this photo
  11. All three fit. The only thing is that you'd need to use the interiors from those kits since their transmission tunnels are wider than the one on the AMT kit's tub. The Revell '63 & '64 firewalls fit like a glove when the small tabs located at the outer top ends are removed. The AMT '62 Impala and Bel Air chassis will work as well; although, as with the Revell kits, the transmission tunnels are somewhat wider than the AMT '63's.
  12. You can't put a value on pretty niceness. Well, O.K. Testors did that for us. What a swell bunch they are.
  13. Try low-tack frisket film.
  14. Thanks, Jonathan.
  15. What is the product number, if you happen to know?
  16. You'll appreciate this thread about it at Hyperscale. Allison prop jet engine kit motorizing parts The thread's author uploaded the original 1960 instructions which include motorizing the kit.
  17. Don't you mean, "wait for Round2"?
  18. Scrubbing with a nylon toothbrush shouldn't scratch the finish.
  19. My unit, A/1/6 INF, went to West Berlin twice for MOUT training in Doughboy City, in Nov 81 and in March 84. We had a reenlistment ceremony at Checkpoint Charlie for one of our guys. It was our CO's idea. He wanted to PO the East German border guards. It did.
  20. Try https://imgur.com/ or, upload your pics onto your computer and you can attach them via "Drag files here to attach, or choose files..." at the bottom of the reply box.
  21. I observed the planes hitting the towers while sitting in traffic in long Island City that morning. I saw the smoldering piles when I had to deliver emergency electrical equipment for the rescue teams on Sept. 13. My company was issued special clearance to enter Lower Manhattan for this purpose. I brought along a camera but thought otherwise about taking pictures. I felt ashamed and thought it would be disrespecting the memory of all those who died. Many of the police and firefighters who unselfishly made the ultimate sacrifice were from the surrounding firehouses and precincts and I was friends with a number of them. I still have good memories of the WTC prior to Sept. 11. I spent a lot of time in the area hanging out in bars, eating at Windows On The World in the North Tower, taking friends visiting from out of town to the rooftop observation deck in the South Tower. Never forget who did this and make no excuses for their actions. BTW, take a look at the box score from last night's Mets-Diamondbacks game at Cit Field: A weird coincidence for the books.
  22. Modelers of other genres aren't as averse to constructive criticism and welcome any advice which can improve their efforts and skills. I fully appreciate and expect critical comments. There are things someone else may see which can go unnoticed by the builder.
