i only got dust in one paint job using the booth and it was my own fault for not changing the filters. its get set running ten mins before painting and i also put a layer of sugar soap solution over base and sides to catch dust and it make cleaning it easier. i've found most of the dust in my booth is dry primer, seems the paint itself is more likelly to stick than create dust particles.

very cool to see it with the aussie chrome trim, or flash panel as some call it. I'm sure i read somewhere it was one of the parts made in australia to help it qualify for aussie manufactured status. you guys got some really weird vws we didn't get in the rest of the world (eg. country wagon and truck)

I think i've sorted this out, and i think i may have the guy in a catch 22 situation with it. I'm still finishing his jobs so i can do mine, but i'm doing it slightly wrong on non essential items. So now he has to either say he was lazy and i finished the job (I'm not qualified for any of his jobs) or that he didn't know what he is doing. either way he looks bad and even if he says i did the jobs they'll ask how he couldn't finish 2 hour jobs in his 12 hour shift and why did he leave it for me to do. downside is it looks like i did my job too well cos the boats leaving for a time at the end of jan on hire, and may be away up til next october so i'm possibly out of a job for a few months but i'll have a great reference from them and i can usually find jobs fairly quick

Anybody Else Having Problems Posting Pictures?

I've been having photos say they fail to load then appear multiple times in posts. When it does load it seems to be much slower than normal but i was putting it down to being on a boat and using a mobile dongle . -
i didn't realise that when i posted, guess i need to watch blazing saddles now, lol

The Zen of Model Building
stitchdup replied to afx's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I find it varies for me. Somrtimes i'll sit at the bench and just swap wheels about for hours and other times i'll sit down and blast through parts. I do find i start to lose interest in a build once i'm getting near finished and can see how its going to look complete. I dont know why i'm like that, but it doesn't worry me. I intend to come back to these builds sometime but i have so many build ideas that it may be some time. Some builds i'll add details in just one area, and others i'll go all out customising but once the first primer is on my interest still fades. I guess i'm more interested in seeing if my ideas work than finishing. I'd love to finish more builds but keeping my interest in a build is just difficult for me when i see my ideas worked or not -
i watched a lot of old movies with my gran when i looked after her, i only knew her previously from her work on i think it was communications
