  1. Cool, love the herald, my dad had one in a metallic green with a ford v6 when i was a kid. I still know where its remains are buried
  2. Got the body to a very rough shape so far tonight. I think this is going to work. I might use a roof line inspired by the baby austins instead of the model y roofline. I glued the rear door onto the body before i cut and my first cuts were to move the side window area back on the delivery body. I then cur the top corner from the body and fitted it back at a different angle as the y has much softer curvers here than the a but i think i can leave the sides. I'm going to have to add plenty bracing to the inside of the body to get the side to line up but the plastic is thinso some strips inside should do it. I'll have to reshape the rear window and redo all the trim and i have to make some doortops for the windows. It looks a bit too long just now but I'm sure once the dorrtops are made and fitted it will look better. I also had a bit of a play with the other kits from the set and now have a club cab t pick up and t roadster on a fenders. the fenders are pretty warped on the roadster but i hope to make them work
  3. how do you make a witch scratch? take away the w
  4. my posts are also not clearing in the box after posting, or trying to post multiple times now. Very often it wont open pages at all or opens blank pages. and posts from other topics are appearing in the text box, not necessarily from my previous post but maybe 3 or 4 previous. error code ex1021 coming up when i enter my profile page now as well
  5. I got that too, I clicked the star to jump to first unread post a couple of times and got that both times. Clicking the title to start from the beginning of posts worked normally
  6. Revell used to do a few european racing trucks like mercedes 1450s and similar size trucks but very hard to find. I've been hunting one of the phoenix-MAN kits for a long time but its probably the rarest one. They also do a dakar unimog which is kinda cool and much easier to find. There some nascar truck kits too but I dont know much about those. It wouldn't surprise me if c1 have dakar parts for the revell land rover kits either, I've seen a lot of parts on their site but not really paid close attention. Theres also the tyrone malone kits. I haven't seen any drag trucks but there are bodies in resin and 3d prints so I assume chassis are available too
  7. much nicer than the box art
  8. I kinda like the look of the top, not on the long body but I think it would work shortened on modern style roadster like a 33-4. I might get one for just that reason and the chassis would save work for the same build.
  9. I find it helps to tape them to the end of a plastic spoon on the convex side. It allows you to get the wheel to some angles that are hard to reach otherwise and using the convex side keeps space to paint the edges while being secure enough to move around. If you buy plastic silverware for paint tests in multi packs its a good way to use up the forks and knives too
  10. So how does that work you may ask, even a child can tell you thats wrong, you scream at your monitors. Well I recently got the revell street rod set with the t sedan, a delivery and 34 roadster. I'm assuming the t is the right size as the same frame is used under all of them and it was the first kit released. Since they all have the same frame it means to me the other 2 must be both undersized and having seen an a sedan next a t touring at a local show would appear to confirm it. So how in the world does 31+34=32? Well the 33 ford sedan styling wasn't new in 33, we had a ford model y released in 32 in the uk which is a shrunk down 33 sedan being a little smaller than a ford pop (anglia to you guys) and since there was a uk rodder building some pretty high tech rods on par with lil john buttera in the 70s called ray christopher I'm going to use the roadster and delivery to build a 70s style 32 y sedan. Everything will come from the 2 kits and the chassis and running gear will be box stock as it has the right stance and parts (well it should be jag irs but the vette one is already chromed and fits so its staying) Incidently, ray christopher built a gt40 replica for a guy called lee iacosomethig that you might have heard off, apparently he was big wig at ford, lol. If you get the uk magazine custom car, he has a recently featured model a pick up on the cover in yellow and brown. Heres the kits I'll be using and a pic of the 1982 riddler winner model Y The ides was put into my head after Bill posted a pic suggesting a possible transformation but also reminded me of the model Y. I'm at work now but its coming to work with me tommorow night.
  11. I really want to reply to this, but it would get me a ban.
  12. not that I wish to wish the wish you wish to wish, but if you wish the wish the witch wishes, I won’t wish the wish you wish to wish (try saying that out loud, lol)
  13. i'm thinking to try a 23 roadster on the 33 fenders and grille, it looks like it should fit and that honda engine needs a home
  14. I've got one very similar to this except mine has built in led lights. Mine was about £40 quid cheaper than this one is and it works well enough. I have emphysema and i can spray at it with out a mask but i have loads so I'm gonna use them, lol. My only regret with it is I should have bought the next size up as its a little small for my way of painting (i like to get as much done at one time rather than individually) https://www.amazon.co.uk/HaoSheng-NEW-Black-Model-Extraction/dp/B01E2OYRYO/ref=sr_1_22?keywords=paint+booth&qid=1661573309&sr=8-22
  15. there are 3d prints available. https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/toyota-4runner-5-gen
  16. the box side for that set was in the box too. I'm glad they are complete as it was them i was most interested in. I didn't realise how much smaller the a is in 1/25 compared to the monogram kits. there didn't seem to be so much difference between the scales with the model t kits. is this model a maybe a touch undersized? it seems like the engines out of my other 1/25 kits would be a struggle to get under the hood even if i move the firewall back
  17. Do they accept donations? I can think of a few people that could keep up with a cow figuratively
  18. I call two letters (we can all guess, but i'm not sure are permitted) but in this case litteraly, lol
  19. avocados are another item traffiked by narcos due to massive profits
  20. Got a joblot of kits today and some of them were in a nike air jordans box. One of my friends saw my post on facebook and has offered me £75 quid for the empty shoebox. He's an avid nike jordans collector and already has the shoes, but this is a nicer box. The best bit is its paid more than half the cost of the kits. Never thought I'd sell an empty shoebox
  21. avocations are not fruit
  22. representations are made on your behalf by your lawyers
  23. Germany now has a trainline running purely on hydrogen. It has no back up diesel engine.
  24. some cool cars. I didn't realise radwood had a highend version, i only knew of the strange and quirky stuff like kei cars from japan and some of the strange special edition cars like levis pintos or canon golfs, or just basic 80s and 90s econo cars
