  1. theres this one https://www.scalemates.com/kits/strombecker-d57-149-austin-healey--1184747 or if you dont mind resin http://www.rocketfin.com/resin_product.cfm?id=3996 I dont know if either is easy to find though there are bound to be more resin versions
  2. If your looking for land rover off road parts in 1/24 have a look at kitformservices military range. They already do some 1/24 land rovers and there is a pretty decent range of extra details available
  3. Very nicely built, I really like that you have the slight bends in the rack crossbars, it adds to the authenticity and would have looked out of place without it
  4. yes, there's a gentleman in england that does resin travellers, cars and vans, and I think airtrax do one or two versions as well. I have the english guys traveller and it seems a good starting point. I think both ate 1/24 though rather than 1/25. Appologies for the poor pic, I'm away from home just now but this is from the english guy.
  5. I think that may be a british build by a gentleman called paul bacon. He's the same guy that turned a citroen bx into a 50s style custom then turned a z3 roadster into a roth style car and a london taxi into a pretty cool looking van imo. More pics of it here http://www.bikerlifestyle.co.uk/automatron-hotrod/ and some of his other builds
  6. We all agree this is an art form. Art is valued at auction mainly. You wouldn't expect to see a real picasso at walmart for $30 so why should this be any different. If it was vw not available anywhere else I would be a bidder for sure
  7. or use soup/pudding bowls from a barbie tea set
  8. Another simple dio. I used car body filler to shape the surface, then while it was sticky I tore some grass sheet to give a roadway, then used more filler to raise the road up, Again the dirt on the road is real rubbed into wet paint and the plants are moss. The 41 chevy will get replaced with a morris minor traveller once I get it built. The fergie started out as the heller te20 kit but I wanted to build a 35 as thats what our family tractor is (owned since new and restored a couple years ago. I know the tractor is not accurate to a 35 but it has the look of one.
  9. My first dio. I used grass sheet from a train place, car body filler, moss and dry earth. The dry stone walls are all real rocks. This is the sort of roads most farms used to have local to me though now many have been given proper surfaces
  10. Not too happy with the rear end of this kit. At assembly stage I found the lower bumper didn't fit and the interior tub knocked one of the lights down. Due to the body being such a tight fit I didnt want to break it apart as I know something major would have broken. The paint is simoniz matt black with tamiya pearl clear though i should have used gloss black i think. The wheels are aoshima cleared with tamiya red. Due to the back bumper i ended up with glue spots from trying to clamp it together and the glue sqishing out so its now brushed in grey primer. I plan on getting another of these so I can build one I am happier with. The interior is citadel mephisto red with black trim and carpets
  11. Does anyone know of a source for better lights for the heller grey fergie kits? the ones in it are just decals and I'd prefer something with lenses. None of my hot rod kits have any small enough
  12. almost finished only to find the power back bumper doesn't fit. if the centre is lined up the sides stick out. I've ended up with glue spots over the bumper area. up until now everything was fitting nice except one rear light the glass knocked out after the body was on. I like the kit but am annoyed at these 2 parts. the body fit is too tight to remove it without doing damage
  13. Got the stance where I want it. I went for a more aircooled style with more camber at the rear and pretty upright at the front. Since its a curbside I cut out the topr of the arches as they'll never be seen once the bumpers and side skirts are fitted
  14. When the limestone faded it could very easily be confused for white. I live on the scottish island in a farming community so these were everywhere and all in faded green with a dull white appearing (faded limestone) top. Most of them were 88 and 90 wheelbases.
  15. Looks like decent 90s mini truck,
  16. I think for hobby design you'd need to use the dealer locator on the website. Pretty sure they stopped direct sales. Ialso forgot 18eightyone and theres a few resin guys in the usa too but i'm not faliliar with them. If you need sizes for the aoshima rims i have most sizes in the stash. since your looking for 1/25 that might be useful to you as the ones i listed are all 1/24.
  17. hobby design, scale production, ucsp, aoshima and fujimi wheels sets, streetblisters,
  18. Cool little bug
  19. Cool, going to enjoy this
  20. you might find something on a hot wheels that might do for taking a mold. Failing that some of the bits inside older type electronics might provide something, I'm thinking cassette or record players when they were still kinda chunky things and not 90s onwards. Would lego provide something also?
  21. I started on this last night. So far its a nice kit and I like how the suspension gets glued from the inside but I guess you can do that with a curbside. I'm using a set of aoshima wheels in the 19" flavour, and have done them inr clear red over the chrome. The suspension will be low and stanced so before doing anything else I filed down the inside of the arches to get a little more space for the tyres to sit right in the arch and possibly the arch on the rim. I did the interior in red and have done the dash with satin upper and matt black lower with just the larger knobs in silver. The paint is simoniz matt black with tamiya clear pearl though I think it may have turned out better over gloss.
  22. Ooh! that is slick. Very nicely done
  23. They look very similar to whats in 70s british cars. If your lucky one of them might provide you a template
  24. I've seen something very similar in resin. I think it was kitformservices and possibly an military ambulance version
  25. cool,I think this is the first of these I've seen. Did the seat decals come in the kit?
