  1. Tamiya have done a full detail 1/24 mustang before. I used to have both versions of them. The 95? cobra had and engine while the similar age convertible was a curbside. I haven't seen one for sale in years though but i still have the wheels from the cobra. The engine was half moulded to the chassis with maybe 10 parts to add to make it complete. Its 20 years since i had one so my memory might be off on the number of parts but as i recall it even had the interior door detail unlike some of the newer kits that have some grooves instead
  2. Neat, my sister did a wing walk on one of these last year and I'm building it for her. I'll be using yours for reference
  3. I got it direct from eightyone's website for $15 delivered from hong kong
  4. This is a review for the eightyone suburu engine. I am currently building a vw karmann ghia with one of these engines so thought some of you might find this useful. The engine comes in approx 20 parts and only a couple of parts required a very minor amount of cleaning/trimming. A couple of parts were a little fiddly to get in place but that is down to my finger size most likely. It went together pretty easy otherwise and I can happily reccomend it for vw builds. I haven't pictured the belts but they are equally as nice as the rest of the engine. Mine came in grey resin with no bubbles anywhere.
  5. the warhammer glue in the white bottle is the same as the revell too
  6. I believe I do, that last step into the ambulance is a little slippy
  7. I havent tried it, but diluted molotowe might work for that. It might not work as I dont know how much it would need diluted to get it transparent
  8. I use a sugar soap dilution on all the surfaces near where I paint. If you mix it stronger than they recommend it provides a sticky surface that the dust will stick too and prevents dust blowing about. It also has the benefit of simply cleaning off with warm water
  9. I didn't even notice the logo, doh
  10. some sellers on amazon stock it
  11. I'm afraid i cant help with that, I've never used one
  12. sounds like you didn't give them a good enough cleaning and may have missed some of the waxy residue.
  13. Also be sure to wear a good quality dust mask when cutting and sanding the resin, the dust isn't good for your lungs
  14. If you want an accurate 1/24 mk1 escort the belkits rally car is your best bet. I think jada and maisto just guess at the scale as I have a 1/24 maisto cuda that is half as big again compared to the revell kit
  15. From what you've said it sounds like he may be suffering from depression. It does funny things to people and appearing ungrateful can be a symptom
  16. I've had a few of these. They did a pretty good job on all of them so you can mix and match the bumpers between them all so an m compact or base 2 door is easy to achieve.
  17. That looks fantastic, your dad is talented. any more pics?
  18. It'll be old skool, going to try for an 80s look. The spit wont be very detailed though, just a body and wings so I can save the engine for something else. I've got a few reference pics of the one in the pic above being moved froma museum so will be basing it on that, but from an older time period. I hope to have the truck look like its on its third or later owner so a bit tatty
  19. Got the popcorn out, and I'm ready to watch
  20. Neat looking truck, are these chevy trucks smaller than kenworths etc? I dont think I've even seen pics of real ones
  21. This will be good, I dont think I've ever seen a bulk tanker before
  22. Looking forward to this, this build off is looking great with all the variety
  23. Neat truck, the firetruck idea is pretty cool
  24. Neat choice of truck, should be a tuff dumper
