  1. no selling houses please, lol
  2. it kinda looks like a hood ornament or roof rack end, could possibly even be from a bus or boat since it has 2 feet
  3. no brakes between the wheel halves is a good move
  4. i've got their model a hotod pick up, they didn't bother to finish adding plastic to the doors so the hinged edge is missing on both doors is just the first problem with that kit. theres many more problems which is a shame as a lot of whats there could be good. I just dont think its worth the extra effort so i'm using the top and bed on an airfix bentley but i have enough left to do a modified sometime
  5. was the luv truck an import like the similar size dodge and ford trucks of that era?
  6. i didn't realise national lampoon was a magazine too. I've only seen the movies
  7. I find it depends what i'm building. Some builds the engine is a detail i want to enhance because its important to the build but others its just to have something there. Like Joe said above, I'm the only person looking at them. I'm the same with chassis, unless theres something i think is important to the build, it goes matt or satin black though i might add metal tips to an exhaust and i'll paint the back box silver. It really just depends what i want from the build. My current project started as curbside 5 door but i'm trying to get full detail 3 door out of it so everything will be painted. the next 2 will be curbside though
  8. theres no stupid questions if you're learning something new and for stupid answers we can ask ai
  9. it hasn't really got any further, but i'll be watching yours for ideas
  10. I did a similar mod the the roof on my crew cab for the same reason as you. I stuck with the early hood though cos i lost the bottom half from the 65, and i've reshaped the back of the cab to be more like the chevy avalanche. I'll get back to it sometime
  11. It looks good with the kit on it, I might have to try that front bumper on some other stuff.
  12. fuelcurve.com covered its rebuild. you might have to search back a while though
  13. Your probably better just getting the kits. Buying an aftermarket printed copy of a kit wont save you any money and would likely cost even more. a typical 3d printed kit seems to be almost 3 times the cost of a plastic kit and with the number of parts a truck might be even more costly. But 3d has given us stuff the kit makers have never done and upgrades for the kits that are available.
  14. crimes of passion can include stealing hobby supplies
  15. its google you need to complain to. we have no say in what ads they force on us. our reports are no more cared about by google than yours are. google only care about money and your data so they can sell even more ads, not how they get it. But, the ads also cover the forum costs so getting rid just isn't an option for now.
  16. one of the guys i climbed the old man of hoy with had one of these. he was building it to use for his oil drilling company in saudi arabia. he wanted to go full high tech modern with it but i suggested old bedford army trucks instead. for the selling price of the mog he got 3 bedfords. besides, the volvo truck engine he wanted to use would never fit the 4wd without hanging out over the front axle like an audi does
  17. they did, not very common and all are grey imports but there was an importer that brought european versions over from germany.
  18. house of kolor brandywine over a gunmetal and gold mix base should get you close. this is it over bright gold, not a great pic but it got the colour right. the spraycan is just to block most of the flash, and has no relevance to the colour
  19. I only had a lhd bay window commercial bus converted to a camper with no pop top. Blew engines regularly so we made the panel under the hatch removable and my dad and me could swap the engine in ten mins without a jack. We had many happy holidays in that old wreck but the none better mk2 escort was more fun to drive. If my dad hadn't passed away theres a very strong chance i'd still have it. The recent revell kit is the nearest i have but it has the other front end.
  20. the chrysler version might be cheaper and easier to find
  21. Nice work, it really looks good in white and the wires look great on it
  22. I enjoy initial D, even when i have to use subtitles. They changed the music for the english dubbed version but its not the same. The japanese synth-pop just suits it better. Also, tokyo drift stole a lot from inital d, including most of the background story from one series. theres another series about circuit racing porsches but i've only seen the kits for those. Most anime isn't my taste, i liked tom and jerry, lol
  23. If you read the ingredients the manufacturers got there first, theres more e numbers than the phonebook
