Love those Stingrays! I had a cheap knockoff when I was a kid. But I loved that bike. It was my first true love. -

No way, let’s see it! Anything that gets you out in the sun is welcome here. No contest intended! -
That’s going to be one good looking goat! I really like the gold you chose. I have an older issue of this kit with the light metallic blue car on the box. It’s nearly finished but I shelved it about 15ish years ago for reasons I don’t remember now. Iirc, all it needed was foiled and final assembly. Might have to dig it out and look at it again. I did mine in all black.

…and there are all the reasons I don’t have time for the boat.? -
Summer can officially start now! I just got this back from the marina and dumped it in yesterday. It’s been in the family for a little over 20 years now. Come on! Let’s get summer going. Let’s see your warm weather toys!

That looks terrific. I really like the way you did the plug wires.

That is exceptional workmanship. Absolutely gorgeous.

So here’s the “tip” part. You can use this as a reason to buy more kits. How can she say no if it’s for health reasons??? -
Thought this was interesting and I wanted to share. This may not be the best place to post this, so mods, please move if you want to. Modelmaking: How This Hobby Makes You Smarter

Revell ‘71 GTX. Just ordered a couple of these. At $8.99, that’s a steal. https://www.amazon.com/RMX854477-Doms-Plymouth-GTX-2n1/dp/B08J7WHXRT/ref=mp_s_a_1_10?crid=3NDJ1AHX8U8X0&keywords=plastic+model+car+kits&qid=1684763688&refinements=p_n_deal_type%3A23566065011%2Cp_36%3A2638326011&rnid=2638325011&s=arts-crafts&sprefix=%2Caps%2C806&sr=1-10

Welcome Ced! My daughter is out there for school currently. -
Got the clear coat on the Pintera this afternoon. I sprayed Dupli Color clear. Finally making some headway on this thing.

Just a short update. After the paint has cured out, it still looks pretty good and smooth. But it has lost a bit of the gloss, so I will be clear coating it sometime in the near future.

Thank you gentlemen! I’m pretty happy with it myself.

Love it! That side view is the money shot. Very creative build and executed beautifully.

I'm leaning pretty hard towards refinishing. After reading all your responses and thinking about it, it makes more sense to me. If this was a completed build that I was restoring, I could totally see leaving the finish as is. But since it never actually made it that far, it's still just a work in progress. It should be finished to my current abilities. Thanks everyone for your opinions. I truly value the insight I gain from this forum.
