Has Revell 4 quarter been announced?

Man I'd love if AMT re issued the Superbug Gasser. -
Thanks dude. I just aligned and glued on the cast quarter to the body using supports placed underneath. I did this so the surface is level with the rest of the car as my cast part is a little thicker then the plastic. It was a hack cast, and I built my mold box from clay and did other things to cut corners and speed the casting process.

I sent an email to support but based on there description, its bad a$$! "In 1965, working with a select group of car manufacturers, Pete Brock started Brock Racing Enterprises. In 1969, BRE, working exclusively with Datsun, began a string of championship winning years. For two years, the BRE Datsun 240Z driven by John Morton won the intensely competitive C Production class. Kit features a detailed 6-cylinder racing engine, vinyl oil lines, front and rear spoilers and soft black tires. SSP - Selected Subjects Program - Limited Production - One-time offering." I just read were it was originally issued in the 70's, then re-issued in the 90's. So this is a re-re-issue with modern tools etc... http://zhome.com/BRE/RevellModels.htm

And so the saga continues. What started out as a simple model almost ended as a melt down due to impatience. The recast front quater went well enough and gave me a base albeit serious body work is still needed. But at least I have a full body now. The proper way would have been to replace the entire front end evenly but I only wanted to cast a small amount keeping as much of the original body as possible. I'm looking to complete this one very soon and move on to a amore simple model.

Wonderful links, thanks Bill.

Had to re-shoot the sides. The Bondo spot putty dried a bit more causing some ghosting of the rear brake vents to come through. I had to mask off the frame/lower body as I already put everything together. I simply didn't wait long enough for the putty to dry, nor did I use a primer/sealer which could have preventid this. Oh well now I know.

Well, what a Faux Gasser at any rate, so sexy and beastly!
-
Awesome! Thats what I'll do then. Unsure why I'm all about Gassers now.

After a ton more body work involving lots of wet/dry sanding and re priming, I have a final paint. Its been drying since last night, did; - 1 initial mist coat. - 2 regular coats. - 1 final wet coat. - Placed in large covered tin over night. All about 2 minutes apart. Planning to polish with some Novus etc then perhaps spray clear gloss depending how I feel. Its pretty shiny already though. For now it will go back in the tin for a few more days.

Wow, cool idea, thanks Snake45.

Yep, notice Bills fromage says "Proffesional Glazing and Spot Putty" plus its in 3oz. Were as the stuff you have (as do I) simply says "Glazing and Spot Putty" and is in 4.5oz. I've had shrinkage with it as well but I do like the stuff. Here it is what I have and what you probably do to for ref; http://bondo.com/bondo-glazing-spot-putty-907.html

The new J.J. Abrams Star Wars are shot entirly on film. The speed and warmth are simply very appealing. As 48fps and above seem odd, too realistic.

Not to hijack my own thread but man the Baldwin Motion Vette is insane! https://www.google.com/search?q=baldwin+motion+corvette&biw=1440&bih=728&tbm=isch&imgil=tZ2sqnHVWr0zXM%3A%3BzE2h5Vm4YhNXAM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.icollector.com%252F1971-Baldwin-Motion-Corvette-Tribute_i8588738&source=iu&pf=m&fir=tZ2sqnHVWr0zXM%3A%2CzE2h5Vm4YhNXAM%2C_&usg=__EG5Stra7a9LKv0bNzNUS-UdIcCg%3D&ved=0CCYQyjdqFQoTCKjQtbmgp8gCFQaiiAod8TIJYg&ei=m0kQVuiWMIbEogTx5aSQBg#imgrc=tZ2sqnHVWr0zXM%3A&usg=__EG5Stra7a9LKv0bNzNUS-UdIcCg%3D https://www.google.com/search?q=baldwin+motion+corvette&biw=1440&bih=728&tbm=isch&imgil=tZ2sqnHVWr0zXM%3A%3BzE2h5Vm4YhNXAM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.icollector.com%252F1971-Baldwin-Motion-Corvette-Tribute_i8588738&source=iu&pf=m&fir=tZ2sqnHVWr0zXM%3A%2CzE2h5Vm4YhNXAM%2C_&usg=__EG5Stra7a9LKv0bNzNUS-UdIcCg%3D&ved=0CCYQyjdqFQoTCKjQtbmgp8gCFQaiiAod8TIJYg&ei=m0kQVuiWMIbEogTx5aSQBg#imgrc=yNAgfBYaLOTTUM%3A&usg=__EG5Stra7a9LKv0bNzNUS-UdIcCg%3D Too bad the Revell kitted version didn't share the manifold, fenders, tires or wheels. This car in an accurate 1/24-1/25 version would be marvelous!

Wow, what a beast, mad skillz! Amazing and inspirational.

Very interesting info. Thanks man!

Hi, I've seen 2 versions of the 2 in 1 68' Vette Roadster, a Revell and a Revell-Monogram. Which is newer and can I assume the newer has better tooling/quality?
