  1. Very nice, where did you get the little girl figure from?
  2. They was on sale in local toystores back in 2011 around here. Think I saw some more of them some time ago but not sure if they got them anymore. They also have a Mercedes Actros in dumptruck and cementmixer versions and a couple of other smaller loaders. They also had a large loader that I only saw once. Here is a ended ebay listing that shows pictures of what it looks like in its box http://geb.ebay.com/ImportHubViewItem?itemid=371008794987&Powered-Advantage-Construction-Vehicle-Series-1-24-Scale I would also like to know the name of the producer but only thing I can find is Construction Vehicle series and that MC logo.
  3. I'm going to get one of these
  4. Ahhh!! That's very nice, I got to get myself a couple of these kits
  5. Agreed, I tried using the seats in a hotrod build I'm working on but they just looked to small. Could possibly have worked if I put them in a even smaller tub of some sorts. Compared them to the seats from a Nissan Skyline GT-R KPGC110 (the kit that one of the engines comes from) and the Skyline seats are huge. If one wanted to mount the seats in to the Skyline interior they would look very small indeed.
  6. I could have wanted to see a more recent Transporter/Caravelle like a t4 or t5 along with the old baywindow t2 to make a complete lineage from the first splitwindow Transporter of 1950 and up to todays cars.
  7. In my eyes it would be nice to see more modern european cars that is not a super/hypercar thing. Here in Norway, VW has been on the top of the salescharts since the 50s and the Passat and the Golf has been and still is the biggest sellers. There is some more modern cars out there, I got Revell mk1 Ford Focus in their Tuner series that I plan to modify in to a more standard looking Focus, I also got first generation Toyota Yaris, the 2010 Prius and a 2003ish Nissan Micra. Then I belive Fujimi or Hasegawa got the new Mini (both the one from 2001 and the ca 2010 model) and Revell has a 1998-2005 Mercedes W220 S-class. I also got a Revell kit of the first generation Mercedes A-class (the one that didn't do corners). But thinking about it, these are 15 years old already....hmm....
  8. I had the 55 Nomad and 57 Bel Air coupe, convertible and Nomad kits a few years ago (had to sell them due to economy) and I thoght they looked quite good. I sure could have added details to them if I had ever got around to building them but in my eyes they looked quite good. I would have built them stock as that is the way I prefer the Chevys of this generation. I also had the 79 Pontiac Trans Am 10th anniversary kit and that was something I really wanted to build (had to sell that one too).
  9. The Japanese market is apperently very big, the European market is not so big but that is just more cudos to Revell AG to give us europeans kits of the cars we have been seeing on our roads. My only grumble about the Revell AG 68 beetle is that they claimed it to be a 1500 when it is acctaully the bottom of the line 1200 but a 1200 is almost a littlebit cooler in my eyes as it is very much back to basics. I don't have the Golf GTi yet but will have to get my hands on both it and the Cabriolet. I think it would actually be quite cool to see a kit with both Eurospec and US spec parts in the kit. Back in the day, a lot of cars sold here in Eurospec was retrofitted with "US spec" look headlights such as on Mercedes W108 and W111 and there was many Volvo 240s and 740s with US-look quad headlights. But in the past, also american kit manifacturers have made kits of cars in eurospec. The Monogram Mercedes 450SL (W107) dates from 1978 I think (?) and that has Eurospec bumpers and headlights and no side markerlights. I'm guessing this is what it shloud have looked like: And this is what the kitbox looks like
  10. That looks really great, what headlights did you use to convert it into the quad lights? And what tires have you used?
  11. Thank you very much guys More pictures of the Mack Superliner here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=96446
  12. I think I will agree with you. Looking at pictures of 1:1 cars it does look like it is too high up into the roof:
  13. Thank you very much guys. A diorama for this would be cool but I got so many plans and so little time and space. I do think that this might be a littlebit to heavy for the Silverado aswell and some may notice that the loader is not chained down (something I would have added if I built it today) so I would not be going a great distance at speed with this. I do have a love for construction equipment and have collected several different machines in 1:24/25 scale in the last few years. Dickie Toys has several Volvo machines including this loader and some excavators and I also found a 1:24 Caterpillar excavator that can be seen on this picture of the Mack Superliner dumptruck: Not really sure who made it as the box only says Construiction Toys made in China and it does not have any Cat emblems on it. It also looks very much like a downscaled version of a Bruder 1:16 toy. Got plans to detail it up in the same fashion as the loader on the trailer.
  14. Yes, it's not the best kit in the world I'm afriad, but it's also quite old. Comparing it to kits like the Tamiya 66 I think will be wrong as the Tamiya kit is from the 90s and this is from the 70s. Comparing it to the Aoshima/Imai 1:24 1303 and this looks far better. But I enjoyed it and got two more of these kits so I will build more in the future. Got plans for a "late-looker" (cal-looker based on a after-67 beetle) with Porsche Fuchs wheels, lowered suspension and no bumpers and trim. Also thinking of converting it to a left hand drive model.
  15. Thank you very much guys The Bandai kits where also sold under the boxname Entex in the states. Here is a Bandai boxed version on Ebay at the moment: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rare-Vintage-1-20-BANDAI-VolksWagen-1303S-Model-kit-NIB-/301442700515?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item462f6294e3 And here is a Baja version of the kit, much rarer and more expensive, I want one of the Bajas as I don't have one yet. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rare-Vintage-1-20-BANDAI-BAJA-BUG-VolksWagen-Model-kit-NIB-/301436702793?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item462f071049
  16. This one I finished in 2012 and it's one of my builds that I'm most happy with. The Silverado is a nice kit, a little fittingissues with the frontpart (grille, headlights) but other than that it went togheter very well. I built it right out of the box, added the lightrack on the bed from the Monogram Ford F-250 kit and decals on the doors come from AMT Ford C-600 stakebed. Weathered it with Doc O'Briens weatheringpoweders that I got from MicroMark. The paint is yellow from a rattlecan (I think it maybe was John Deere yellow from Duplicolor but not sure). The trailer is Revells racecar trailer (this one in a kit on it's own, but it has been released with a Chevy van and maybe others aswell) that I built right out of the box (painted and weathered in the same manner as the truck) but I omitted the tirerack as I don't think they use tireracks on trailer that carry machines around. The Volvo MC70 skidsteer loader is 1:24 toy made by DickieToys and I bought it cheaply at ToysR'Us. I modified it according to pictures I found of 1:1 versions on the net. Removed the knobs that you work the loaderpart with and also took it apart and detailpainted it and weathered it in the same manner as truck and trailer.
  17. Atmobil

    VWs

That splitwindow sure looks like a gem, I also like your work on that Vanagon engine
  18. Nice one, I know of 1:1 bugs that look just like this
  19. This is a model I finished a few years ago. It's a old Bandai modelkit and as many of the old Bandai car kit it is in 1:20 scale. The kit itself is quite nice, with whitemetal parts in the suspension, opeing doors, working suspension in the front, working steering and so on. This kit is a lot better than other 1:20 Bandai kits I got but I have also seen their 1970s Mazda and Toyota kits and they look even better.
  20. Now I learned something new today aswell Thank you
  21. Very interesting that the engine in the cabriolet is not the GTi engine. I think I must swap them over so that the cabriolet is the hot version and then make a lower spec sedan.
