  1. What has worked for me, and does a great job, I brush on some sidekick accelerator. Sort of gives that dirty look.
  2. Which program do you use to resize the plates
  3. Go to the AK- interactive.com site under tutorials, and there you will see a tip on what you are looking for.,
  4. Oh heck yea. Darn nice work. Would love to see more.
  5. A very nice build. What wheels did you use?
  6. It has been my experience that using Auslowe is the way to go. They are located in Australia and it may take longer to receive, but they seem to carry more products..
  7. Future will make itg shine too much for what you want. I would go with the semi-gloss.
  8. Those pictures are super detailed and helpful. Thanks for that.
  9. Currently working on a 66 Chevy Nova. Really like the images you put up. I have a 289 restoration coming up, and you posted a great image. Also your information on where hoses go helps a lot. Thanks.
  10. Call me ignorant or stupid, but I do not know where to locate the heater hose to the engine. I have never had good view of this. I would look at my own car, but I do not have one anymore. Being disabled I can't get around to look at stuff like this. If someone could possibly show me some pics, showing heater hose locations, then I might be able to put them in. That is if my hands and fingers work properly on any given day. Thanks in advance.
  11. I have noticed so many interiors on models, and the largest percentage of them have detailed gauges on the dash. I was wondering where is the best place to get decals for dashboards?
  12. Nice build. Glad to see someone putting some effort into the tires. I think the more detail put into the wheels and tires, the better the look. Congrats on the model. Great work.
  13. I tried the treatment wax, with pretty good results. It did not take any chrome off or dull it. I would say that if you have this wax, go ahead and try out on some scrap chrome, and see if that works for you. I tried several coats on the chrome, all with consistent results.
  14. Steve, all the aforementioned comments ring very true. The chrome does not with stand any polish that I have tried. However the treatment wax sounds promising. I haven't tried that wax yet. I got some so I will go try it now and let you know.
  15. I am going to add the flame method to one of my pallets. It sure will add to the look. Thanks for that.
  16. Don't be silly, yours are super. I like the fact that you made a video. I had never thought of the flame onto the wood. Nice touch.
  17. Nice job. I have been making pallets of various sizes now for years using Popsicle sticks. I use wood glue and liquid weathering solution from Micro Mark, which gives the whole pallet a good weathered look, like old wood. guess either way works out quite well. Here is a few of my pallets in different sizes, before weathering. I also like to make Mexican rugs.
  18. I found them at Xteme Scale Detail
  19. When using the Tamiya weathering pigments, is it necessary to spray a dullcoate of paint on the model to prevent the powder from rubbing off or will the pigment powder dry out and not rub off?
  20. Lot of food for thought. I will try and see what works best for me. Steve your right, there is no best way to do this. Do what ever works for me. Thanks much to all of you.
  21. I have seen tutorials on detailing grills, but the process has been different on most of them. Some use black acrylic paint, and some use black wash. I was wondering which is the most popular or correct way to do this. Thanks.
  22. Actually I think the tires the way they are make it stand out.
  23. mine hasn't changed at all either.
  24. gorgeous rides Joel.
