  1. '78 Volare Road Runner. MPC made the annual back in the day. The '80 was re-released just a couple years ago and should be relatively easy to find.
  2. Just fabulous Steve.
  3. On the site, it says all product is cast to order so maybe try sending an e-mail asking about it. It looks like they cast them on a request basis so maybe you just have to make a request. Can't hurt to ask.
  4. OR, you could buy that same kit directly from Model Car World for 40 bucks. https://mcwfinishes.com/shop/ols/products/1966-dodge-coronet-2dr-sedan $459.99 is quite a markup. ? ,,, over 11 times the original price.
  5. Thanks for the comments everyone.
  6. I don't have the fortitude to build replica stock. That's why I build hot rods and customs. If someone wants to call my work wrong I don't really care.
  7. That would have been the MPC kit. It did have proper inner fenders. The AMT kit is a completely different kit. Remember, AMT and MPC were competitors at that time.
  8. Missing Link does an insert for under the hood of those Fords and Mercurys. I don't see any on thier e-bay page right now though.
  9. Haven't worked on this one for about a year and 1/2 so it took a while to remember exactly where I was going with it. But I think I have it all figured out again. Didn't really do much with it today but I did get the rear trailing arms pinned at the mounting points I made on the frame. Not sure if I'll go with the buggy spring on the rear or do it up with coil overs. Either way, I'll have to make new spring mounts on the axle.
  10. Got the front end about where I can now start on other things like the back end and top chop. Not %100 yet but the body work that's left like final fitment of the hood will be done after the other big stuff is dome so I can do all the finesse work at once.
  11. This is a rebuild of a car passed on to me back in the late 70s. Originally belonged to my cousin Rocky who passed on from complications from diabetes 10 years ago on the 12th of this month. We were like brothers growing up. Very simple kit. Body was shaved of emblems, door handles, etc. Revlon nail polish finish. Wheels are from a Jada 1/32 Cobra Roadster, they scale out to about 17" on this car. Tires are a set of Monogram 1/24 Goodyear Gatorbacks which fit the wheels quite well after cutting out a raised ridge from the inside.
  12. Not a lot of detail inside this one and I didn't bother doing much besides paint and flocking. Only change I made was adding a basket handle shifter, the kit only comes with a stick which is incorrect for this console. The car's actually almost finished. Just want to add a bit of detail under the hood before I call it finished.
  13. It's an MPC "Blackjack "T"" kit with a few mods.
  14. I just did a little checking. I've known for years that you can't easily swap the old tool AMT '69 grille /bumper onto the newer tool AMT '68 elCamino ,, BUT I just checked the Revell '68 grille into the AMT elCamino. right width. I'd say the Revell '69 should fit with a little sanding.
  15. As far as I know, he's still making decals. You'll need to e-mail him at mofobow@hotmail.com , IIRC. I suggest you mention decals in the header of the e-mail so he knows it isn't spam.
  16. Needs more pipe !! ??
  17. No, it's a 1953 model. "Starliner" was Studebaker's name for their hardtop cars.
  18. No, sorry Gareth. Those are not Cragars at all. I don't know exactly what they are supposed to be but they certinly are not Cragars.
  19. Yea, that's the guy I was thinking of. I do have a few of his early kits. Those are about average. I'd imagine quality would have improved since then. Nothing really wrong with them, just a bit more cleanup than more expansive resin. I'd happily buy more. I built this from one of his kits. I had the chrome plated and made the windows from clear sheet stock. Tail light lenses were from Modelhaus.
  20. Same here but I suspect they're about the same as the ones some of the larger model sellers like Model King, Hobby Heaven and Model Roundup were selling about 10 to 15 years ago.
  21. Sorry, no. They're a couple rebuilders. I never bothered to take any pics of them.
  22. Yup. I have a couple old ones. Very simple kit that was originally released back in 1960. It was also reissues by Entex, Revell , Minicraft and Masterkit.
  23. Pretty sweet Tim. Never see enough of those old luxury cars done up.
  24. No pressure, right guys. ?
