Not even close to the same tires. The ones he's looking for are copies of the ones MPC used in the late '60s and '70s. BUT there were two different ones Monty, the '60s style or the larger ones like came on the Impalas?

Cool, My cousin Ron had a '76 Free Spirit Century back about '86 or '87. I drove it a couple times. Man, what I great car! The paint and decals were pretty faded but it went like snot and handles like it was on rails. I do have one pic of the car I could post but be forewarned, in the pic Ron's standing in front of the car in just cutoff jeans. IIRC, a bunch of us went to the water park that day.

I feel for ya Bill. When I was a kid, we lived on the west coast, Vancouver Island , for a while. Worst winter they had was that year, they had 4" of snow. Shut everything down for days. LOL So an inch can be bad if your not used to it. Here on the Maritimes, we don't even bother cleaning the car off for that amount.

I have 2 copies of that kit , both the last issue in the "street custom" box and they both have the correct non-wagon chassis.

Looks really good Steven, you're really going all out with this one. Mine's kinds stalled as I'm using my free time buffing the paint out on my 1/1 project. It's getting a bit too cold to work on it now so I'll be back to the 1/25 projects soon.

OK, wondering about what's going on with the chassis. The resin one is too long , does the Chevelle kit chassis fit? If so, that's wrong. The Elkys were built on the 4 inch longer wagon chassis. So, is the body too short?

One thing I miss is seeing how many pages I have to go through when I hit the "unread messages" button. Now it's like doing a google search ,, you just keep scrolling down until you reach the end or a button to load more content. I'd REALLY like to know how many pages before I start scrolling.

That actually looks pretty good after you got the old paint off. Looks like a pretty easy fix too. But after you get the panel glued back in, instead of finishing it off with putty, I'd "V" out the seam , fill it with plastic strip glued down with liquid cement and sand it flush. That will give you a much stronger joint and minimise the risk of it ghosting when you paint it. Still might take a small amount of filler but much less.
