  1. That's real cool. I like the grille inserts.
  2. Well,, Here's the Revell chassis shoved up under an MPC Firebird. Took a bit of trimming because it was was designed as a die-cast so it's wider at the rocker panels, that shouldn't effect the decals though as the wheelbase matches . I'd say they'll fit.
  3. A quick image search on Google shows Aoshima does 7 or 8 versions of the Cappuccino besides the Initial-D kit. One even includes a small photo etch sheet.
  4. It was a Trans Am. Looks like R/M dosen't have the licencing rights from the SCCA to use the name this season.
  5. Looks good Steve. I did a little work on mine yesterday too. There was too much sanding damage done to the scripts on mine so I sanded them all off along with the door handles. The wheel opening trim was damaged too so I ground it off and will replace it and the rocker trim before painting. The character line down the sides was also somewhat smoothed out so I'm repairing that also.
  6. That looks sharp. very clean.
  7. Spoilers Seeetie! Some of us record the show and don't get a chance to watch until a day or three later.
  8. Looking good Curtis. Did you deepen the door lines? they look about perfect.
  9. Tom, that '67/'68 fastback roof was only available those two years, not after that. You must be thinking of the roof on the Pontiac hardtop kit like the resin one you posted. ,,BTW, I see Time Machine is selling that body on e-bay. Rick, nice conversion. I can imagine it's what Pontiac would have done if they had kept the Grand Prix on the full size body.
  10. Beautiful! and thanks for posting the pic of the body mods you did. Makes it easier for the rest of us to see what needs attention .
  11. Well Bill, you'd certainly see more of her on GOT than you did on Terminator. LOL
  12. That's just cool !!
  13. Yup, the AMT and Revell were different generation trucks. The Revell was an earlier truck but the kit was custom only, no where near stock. The AMT was the later generation of the truck. The first couple issues could be built stock. There was a "Monroe Handler" custom version version with the stock box and the "Bush Baby" stepside version that looked like a 4X4 but I think it was just a lifted 2 wheel drive. The AMT kits were quite nice for the '70s when they first came out. The Revell was just another one of those Revell custom thingies they pumped out by the zillion back then. [looked cool though]
  14. Same here
  15. Turned out great Jeremy
  16. Looks like you got a good start on it Eric. BTW, if you want to put the scripts back on, the MCG photoetch sheet for the '76 Caprice has Impala scripts that are correct for that car as well as loads of other stuff you can use on it.
  17. Closest was JoHan's '75 Cutlass snapkit/promo but the body was almost completely different than the '76/'77.
  18. Unfortunately, no, the '69 was never reissued. That was the '65.
  19. Well, here's where it's sitting now. The floors are almost done and except for a couple small stubborn spots on the hood, she's ready for paint. ,,, And here's a test shot of the new paint on one of the hood vents. Should look real good with the silver wheels, skirts and decals.
  20. IIRC, there's a section for community builds, maybe we should start a new thread there. But for now,, Here's where mine's at. The rocker trim was toast from glue marks so I sanded it all off last night, might replace it and the wheel opening trim. Also, like Snake's , mine has been sanded and the scripts are quite light. I'll probably also sand them off so off will come the door handles and arrowhead on the trunk lid. This is about how low it'll sit, more level though, or maybe on a slight rake. These are the wheels and tires I'm using.
  21. I'd suggest doing a search on them on this board before sending any money.
  22. Maybe it's time to look at allowing hot rodded and street machine pickups in the general car section again instead of having them in the commercial category. I build street pickups and the occasional hot rod but I never build commercial vehicles and do not feel such builds belong with toe trucks and delivery vans. The "commercial " section should be strictly for commercial vehicles. After all, probably about 75% or more of the pickups bought on North America these days are for family use and never see anything heavier than grocerys or the occasional kid's bicycle in the bed.
  23. Here's a vote for The Little Motorcar Company. They did the last couple batches of chrome I had dome and I'm very happy with the results and at a good price.
  24. It's starting to take shape now that I have paint on it I can live with. Still need to drill out the headlights and make new tail lights and back-up lights. ,,, and lots of other things but this is about how it'll sit and basically look .
