Revell '69 Pontiac GTO/Judge kit HPI guys review.
Can-Con replied to Mike C.'s topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
That's just because it is. -
I don't think you'll be getting an answer from Dwayne, he hasn't been on here for about a year and a half. ?
-
Looks good. Hope you get your price for it.
-
No disrespect perceived, I did mean I will legitimately tell him you liked it. ,, not a joke.
-
I know exactly who's model that is, Steve. I'll let him know you liked it when I see him in a couple weeks. ?

Looks great to me, Phillip. Great color for those cars. Since you asked for tips, those wheels arn't Cragars, they're Hurst wheels. Not as common and IMHO, suit the car more then Cragars would. ?, , [as much as I like Cragars too]

Personally, I don't use plastic to make the seams. I run a strip of masking tape where I want the seams to be and put a thin layer of putty on the edge. When it's dry, I sand the putty down to the tape and bupp the tape off. This goves a thin, crisp strait seam. I also do the "overspray from a distance " thing to finish it off.

Wow, that's really something. I know the new ones are higher but it's the width that gets me. Some kind of optical illusion I guess.
-
I know they're Challengers Rob, I mis-typed. and, yes, the newer ones do sit about 4 inches higher. The '70 still looks a lot smaller then it should in that pic though.

Will hazelnut health benefits remain when infused into vodka?

But, wouldn't the nutrients just be transferred from the nuts to the alcohol? I wouldn't think the alcohol would destroy the nutrients but I don't really know. -
That pic don't look right, Bob. In real life the original Chargers were [according to Wikipedia] 76.1 inches wide while the new ones are 75.7. If that's correct, the originals were .4 inches wider then the new ones.

Sonny, here's a link to RandyB's beautiful build. I think it's strait from the box with just the addition of plug wires. Both are hard kits to find now.

LOl, I'm not a beer drinker either ,, I prefer a drink with a higher octane level. ? But a lot of Canadians think American beer is weaker then Canadian but they don't realize we gage the alcohol content differently for some reason. There really about the same, IIRC.
-
Well, Bill, you do know what most Canadians think of American beer, Right? ? , , But, yea, that is a good looking truck.

I built the Nicky RS 427 sister kit when they came out a few years ago. Nice kit. Added some underhood details, the Torque Thrust wheels from a Revell 32 Ford and a tire swap and got a "best GM" award at a contest a few weeks ago. Still have one copy of this kit waiting in my stash.

I seen John a couple weeks ago at our local show, he was fine. I expect to see him again in about 3 weeks at the Atlantic Nationals car show and I'll mention it to him.

No, all I got was the artwork. -
Have A Suggestion….

It did. I had two tips printed back then. One about making headlight lenses and the infamous "spoon test". ? They even sent me the original artwork from the articles using my tips. -
Review of Revell's new chrome spray paint
Can-Con replied to Monty's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Cool. I tried airbrushing it once last week and it didn't work out for me as good as strait from the can but I'll give it another try following your example, hopefully mine will turn out as well as yours did. -
Review of Revell's new chrome spray paint

Looks like your having great success airbrushing the Revell product, Dusty. Are you thinning it and if so, with what? -
Looks fantastic. I'd pass on the panel liner, it looks perfect the way it is. ?

Starting a new old project, tubbed '77 Volare Road Runner

A few more pics. I glued the engine bay to the body and cut it from the chassis plate so I can eliminate the seams where it connects to the fenders and cowl. Also trimmed the rear wheel area for clearance of the tires. Wheels are from the AMT '55 Chevy sedan. This is about where I want the ride height.
