  1. Yep, finishing is one of my great problems as well, I'm a wonderful starter though.
  2. Love: Airbrushing, decaling, photographing. Hate: Blood, attaching tiny bits of plastic or P.E., dust.
  3. There's one that runs around here, produced (as I understand it) by a local company that manufactures real shopping carts, and is used as a promotional and marketing tool.
  4. Oh yes, their 1:32 Ju 88A-4 is outstandingly cool. Tamiya pops to mind. Most of their 1:48 scale stuff, especially the newer generation kits, are well detailed and engineered, generally accurate, and basically fall together with very little effort.
  5. Wow, you're moving right along. Bowsprit looks good.
  6. It's actually pretty cool the way it is I think, but I certainly appreciate the offer. If I'd ever get off my dead behind, I have Photoshop, with about 250 additional filters, and I'm sure I could figure it out. Besides, wall space is at a premium here, so I'm very selective about what I display.
  7. Doyusha did a few Japanese Castle models. I've never owned one (yet), but may hunt one down eventually.
  8. Yea, I'm afraid a two door isn't going to make it. Not one of my favorites that I owned anyway, so I'll just do without. Thanks, fellas.
  9. Perhaps the worst I can recall, is the Big Duece, body sprayed with metalflake green, frame and engine left bare yellow plastic. I have a Polaroid of it around here somewhere. Built when I was perhaps 14 or so.
  10. I do like that shade of green. Very classy. I'd like to do a stock '32 one of these days.
  11. Slight change in plans here. Since the rest of the car is 100% stock (except the color), I've decided to also use a stock hood. Here it is getting prepped for paint. It also appears that there's little chance I'll have this finished by the 3rd as intended, and even if it were, as it turns out, I can't go anyway. Just another disappointment in a long string of disappointments.
  12. Though I've yet to see an unbuildable kit, I have had a few that were so frustratingly bad, that they ended up either having a high speed collision with my basement wall, or were stomped to death on the floor.
  13. Odd, I've never been a fan of the Donks, yet I did buy two diecasts (Mustang and Charger) that were so cool looking in the box that I just had to have them. Now I can't seem to even give them away, not that giving them away is a desirable option.
  14. They can still be found on "the bay" from time to time, but as you say, they can get sort of pricey. Still, bargains can be had. I'll probably add a few of the guns and grenades back to my stash, "one of these days".
  15. $387.25 per gallon seems pretty steep to me too, much worse than the typical Testors spray paints, that come in at right around the $192 per gallon range, as delivered.
  16. Nope, Yak-9, Eduard weekend kit. I was doing it (and a dozen or so more), as ceiling queens, like these three, but abandoned the project a few months ago when I moved out of my house. Good call.
  17. Some great looking Cuda models here. I'll have to have a go at the Revell kit, and see what's what. If mine turns out as nice as some here, I'll be a happy guy.
  18. I do like that color. I'll be using the same on a '32 Vicky I have coming up.
  19. Very nice.
  20. Those front wheels are just great. The lousy wire wheels in most dragster kits, is what puts me off of building them. I may have to rethink that now.
  21. I think it's probably a good idea too, I'm just not sure I'm courageous enough to do it.
  22. I had that kit years ago (as did everyone it seems), and always thought it was one of the best looking show cars from the period.
  23. Perhaps not as weird as some, but I also dabble in large vinyl figure models from time to time. Need to finish this guy one of these days. He still needs a lot of work.
