  1. I appreciate the input very much, Matt, but that camper doesn't appear to be at all like the one in the 59 kit.
  2. Does anyone make this camper as an AM item? The kit itself is stupidly expensive (at least for my budget), but the El Camino is readily available for a decent price. I had this kit as a kid, and really want to do another. (Photo snatched from the WWW).
  3. Good grief, the Monogram kit is huge. I don't think I've ever seen one before. Just out of curiosity, why are all your photos watermarked?
  4. Far from the oldest (at least one of my photo albums has gone AWOL), nonetheless these three shots are of a truck that I built roughly 20 years ago. Shot with my old Minolta 35mm SLR that I haven't used in eons.
  5. Link I've added several ideas over time (not all cars though, by a long shot), and I honestly expect to see a few of them available one day.
  6. Indeed it is. I'd like to also tackle the Heller HMS Victory one day, but who knows if that'll ever happen.
  7. I can't tell from your photos, but is the bottom blue? This is the best illustration of the IL-2 I've ever seen. Don Greer is awesome. (I'm a major aircraft nut.)
  8. I think it looks great. I would have liked to seen some greens showing through here and there though, but that's just me. I'd be very happy to call it my own. Obviously too late for this one, but I have some excellent references on the Stormovic, should you ever tackle another.
  9. My big Revell Constitution has vac sails, but I'm not sure if I'll use them or not. Looks like you're keeping with it. At this rate, you'll be finished in no time.
  10. While cruising through some old photo albums, looking for something else, I stumbled upon these; photos of the last Challenger I built, probably 20 years ago or thereabouts. I found it interesting that I used the "custom" wheels, and R/T spoiler, as I had completely forgotten that. Kit was given to a neighbor several months ago, and it had been bothering me that I apparently had no photos of it, as I routinely photo everything. I also found (in the same album), photos of my '29 Ford pickup, that I'd also forgotten about.
  11. Years and years ago, my father used to take me to local car shows, which were a big thing in St Louis back then. Here's a scan of one of the 35mm prints from those days. It's one of a very few that I recognized immediately. (It never occurred to me to wipe the dust from the print before scanning, and the print has since disappeared.)
  12. Car looks great. I love that color.
  13. Cool looking bug. Any idea what color it'll be?
  14. Interesting painting rig. Is that something you created yourself? Car looks very nice to me.
  15. Nice T-Bird. Looks great to me.
  16. Looks terrific. I like it a lot.
  17. No, unfortunately it's long gone now. Since the same kit is available again though, I'll be doing another, very similar to this old one, but hopefully a lot better than what I was capable of back then.
  18. Thanks for the input, fellas. The work continues at my usual snails pace. Now that Easter dinner has come and gone, the dining room table (my "bench") is available again, so I'm chroming this baby. (I'd forgotten what a pain in the neck BMF can be.)
  19. That color looks great.
  20. I'm starting to develop a taste for bugs myself; may have to hunt one down. Nice looking roof rack.
  21. Better luck to you next time. I do like the color though.
  22. Me too. I'm really looking forward to seeing this color on the car.
  23. Nice looking deviled eggs, Tom. We too had a fabulous dinner here Sunday, with this (hickory smoked grilled turkey), being the centerpiece. Lots of hard boiled eggs too. The hickory smoking gives the turkey a very dark bark, but oh my goodness, is it delightful.
