  1. Some of the aforementioned "stuff", is the painting of the front grille area. This is Gunze acrylic black. A tiny bit of over-spray made its way onto the fenders, but a quick swipe with a Q-tip moistened with denatured alcohol, easily removed it, one of the wonderful things about acrylics.
  2. With the driver side fender now being polished (I had a small boo boo that needed repainting), the remainder of the T/A striping has been applied;... time to move on to other "stuff".
  3. The last (I think) of the polishing is finished, now that the driver side fender is finished.
  4. Sounds good. Years ago, Dusters and Swingers could be seen all over the place around here, but not anymore. I haven''t seen a Duster in eons.
  5. Looks real nice. Your dad is sure to get a kick out of it.
  6. I really like that blue. Of course, I kind of have a "thing" for blue.
  7. Excellent. I've seen too many older models with the masts and yards all skewed and warped; this should prevent that rather well.
  8. I've been eyeballing both '40 and '65 pickups at Hobby Lobby; haven't committed to buy either one just yet, but I'm certainly considering it. Your treated slick looks great, I like that a lot.
  9. Cool project. I followed the other thread to this one, hoping to see the interior. I'm starting to think that if I graft a 92 front end, to a 91 car, I might be able to approximate my own car.
  10. Thanks. I'm having a blast with it, and believe my next one will be easier after this one. Amber is correct, but for some reason, that shot does make it look red, when in fact it's not.
  11. Interesting project for sure.
  12. The passenger side front stripe is too far forward in the photo above. Fortunately, I caught it in time and was able to reposition it further aft. If I hadn't spotted it in the photo, it'd be too late now to fix it, so I really lucked out there.
  13. Yea, it seems to have paid off, doing them after the clear coats. I'm very pleased. I'm going to try and shoot the interior tomorrow.
  14. Interesting color combo; I'll be curious to see what it looks like.
  15. Very nice. I think the colors go together very well indeed.
  16. Dash gets a dash (see what I did there?) of black paint. This actually looks pretty good, though I'm stripping the hood and spoiler again, as the black came out looking really bad on those.
  17. Thanks, fellas. I can't help but feel that I'm learning a lot here, all of which will be useful for my next projects.
  18. Awesome! I love the flying tank, and have the two seater AM kit to do,... one of these days.
  19. Interesting. I currently drive a '95 XR7, and the body style changed little. I like the exhaust; I'm considering Flowmasters for mine right now.
  20. Perhaps a bit premature (I still have two or three small areas that need polishing, as it turns out), I could stand it no longer, and started adding the T/A tripes. The very front of left fender still needs to be polished, so I cannot apply fender decal at this time, pending that polishing.
  21. Exactly what I'm trying to avoid! Well, as is the case with much of my supplies, the Future has gone missing, but I did find my Tamiya clear, so after a quick swipe with that (lens backsides), headlight lenses are now finished (I think).
