  1. Haven't really figured that out yet, but dinner is at 6:00.
  2. Assembled our new 22-1/2" Weber grille today, and that pleases me very much.
  3. Some more minor body issues straightened out. I hope to have the blue on by Friday, if I run into no further problems.
  4. Yep, I have a brand spanky new bottle here.
  5. That sucks. Two years ago, on the one day I left my car in the driveway instead of under the carport, we had the largest hail I've ever seen in my life, and the car got beat from one end to the other, including the windshield.
  6. Beautiful song. Wonderful harmonies.
  7. Chrome tree now stripped, using el cheapo oven cleaner from the dollar store. Now I’ll clean this all up, and prepare for the acrylic black to follow, for those items that will be painted chrome.
  8. I like it here too, Joe; seems like a good bunch.
  9. I'm glad to see these threads merged, as I had done a search, and came up flat, so started the new thread. I'll be grabbing one of these Mustangs ASAP!
  10. Normally not my thing at all, but this came out great, especially given all the problems you seemed to have with it.
  11. Very cool idea, and it looks like you're making a good go of it. I've wanted to build tributes to a couple of cars I've owned too, but that may never happen.
  12. Or this.
  13. I really can't answer your question, Mark, but I do so wish I had a few of the kits I built as a kid, but sadly, they're all long gone.
  14. Looks excellent. Real nice work.
  15. Oh yes, definitely on my "to get list" now, especially with recent confirmation received that it is indeed the same kit.
  16. Awesome news! Thanks very much for the confirmation. This car is one of perhaps six or so that I vividly recall from my youth, so doing again after all these years will be a real kick.
  17. Thanks, Joe, I appreciate that. I'm amazed that the white primer (or perhaps better lighting), has made visible several errors in areas that I thought looked OK before, the most obvious to me being the rough way I handled the seams from the slide molding. There are also more than a few areas with very minor flash (specifically around the window openings), that I thought I had already addressed. It's been years and years since I built and painted a car model, and I'd like to think I'm learning some valuable lessons on this one.
  18. I do have a few more Polaroids (precious few), but they're so poorly done, that they're of little use on this forum; good for remembering though. If nothing else, they serve as proof positive that I built a particular something, like the 1:8 Big Deuce, and this Mustang.
  19. Thanks for that. I may just take the gamble, and assume it's the same kit. The goal here, is to duplicate (more or less) the same model I attempted all those years ago, but hopefully, better this time.
  20. And now the white primer is dusted on. My front end bodywork needs a little refining, and I spotted a couple more things I need to correct (better now than later I guess), then I'll be ready for the Icy Blue.
  21. = Totally stupid.
  22. Yep, I recall reading where yours had split apart, so I'll be watching out for that. Thanks,
  23. On this kit, that'll be a non issue, as the chassis is shorter than the opening it goes into. That was checked early on, but thanks anyway, I certainly appreciate the input.
