  1. Carpet given a shot of very dark gray, to contrast with the black seats and trim to follow.
  2. Yea, those patches/stickers were in a 1:32 Hasegawa F-86 that I just threw away. I thought these items were cool enough to hang onto though, as I'm sure to find somebody that wants them.
  3. Thanks, fellas, I appreciate it. I had the time to spritz some more color on the engine today. Not the best masking job in the world, but with just a little touch up, it should be OK, especially considering that the hood will be permanently closed on this model.
  4. I'd have to respectfully disagree, and say that Tamiya is the best. I'm going through this entire thread now (all 32 pages), so that I can see what you've done in certain areas, and how you've addressed certain issues.
  5. Matt board all painted up to simulate concrete (the first of three or four generic bases I’ll be making), still not quite finished though. This is the way I typically work, bouncing all over the place, from one aspect to another.
  6. I've only had two negative experiences that I can recall. One was a perfect box, but inside was a car with a squashed roof. The other was a 1:72 F-100 Super Sabre. Inside were two duplicate left side fuselage sprues, but no right side with all of its parts were present.
  7. Nice colors. I like that toolbox too. Any other photos?
  8. And here we go, Snap Peterbilt. While I certainly haven't searched all 23 pages (just the first three or four), this is the one that really jumped out at me because of the sense of realism it conveys. Clean and sparkly is good too, but road worn is my real preference.
  9. Agreed. I like it a lot better than the Chevy that won. I've never really been a fan of his style.
  10. I also now realize that I never put up the images of the oil over acrylic wood base color on interior. Despite the orange-ish appearance here, it actually has a nice Walnut like color to it.
  11. I really like the way the front end looks. I'm wresting with how to deal with the same issues, and I've grabbed a couple of ideas from your effort here.
  12. I'll certainly keep that in mind. Now that I traded all my parts, I'll probably mess something up and require replacements.
  13. I had enough "extra" cash this week, to order the AMT White Freightliner COE kit.
  14. Sounds great, but I might have to float a loan to get one.
  15. OK, Terry, thanks. I just went ahead and ordered the Freightliner, my first COE.
  16. I've never actually finished one, so when I do, that'll be my favorite. As to the work of others, there's one in the under glass section that I like very much, but I forgot who built it.
  17. Mix #2 looks the best to me, as the outer bands on the real deal, seem to have that greenish cast that you've captured.
  18. Not real sure why, but this Dart was one I was always real fond of. Not real sure if I ever saw the real deal or not, but it was certainly in magazines enough.
  19. There are several free photo hosting services, Scott. Have you ever tried any of them? I use Photobucket all the time, with never any real issues.
  20. Trivial update perhaps, but it occurred to me that I'd never photographed the car on its base. After a trip to HL today for some mat board, I've now cut out the shape of what will be the concrete beneath the car. Hopefully I'll begin painting that tonight or tomorrow. (Base is just a tad small, but I'll live with it.)
  21. Another dilemma. This time this AMT White Freightliner. Same scale as the Revell 359 and W900, but about $12 more expensive. What gives?
  22. Any photos, perhaps for the All The Rest area?
  23. I had the Manx, and loved it. I'd like to get another,... someday.
