  1. The Tamiya putties are great, and so is 3M Acryl Blue, if you can find any.
  2. Oh yea. I set out once to find and purchase a Heller HMS Bounty, and was shocked to see the prices. Needles to say, I never got one.
  3. If I had the money to do so, I'd have a Tiger or Pershing tank in the front yard.
  4. I just fried the last five eggs in the refrigerator before my roommate (with the appetite of a great white shark), got to them, and that pleases me.
  5. Me too, been out of work for quite a while now. For all practical purposes, I'm retired, I guess.
  6. Thanks for all the input, fellas; I had no idea. I may need to add that to the "to get" list.
  7. Because there's no canned grain aisle?
  8. That's udderly improbable.
  9. I'm a clairvoyant amnesiac; I know in advance that I won't remember.
  10. Odd, but the last place I worked, routinely shipped 14' diameter x 40'-60' tall silos. Special permits were required for the 14 footers, but we had many of them built and shipped. Larger diameter silos, were just built in-place, utilizing standard bolted tank methods.
  11. OK, so I take it that it's larger than a standard Peterbilt? I'm not sure what makes it heavy haul capable. I checked out the BS site, and they certainly haul some strange loads.
  12. I have to ask,... what makes this kit unique?
  13. Another trailer. I think four will be my limit, so two to go.

  15. I've had some of the dumbest things happen. One time (not during final assembly though), I inadvertently blew a body off my turntable, onto the floor of my garage by being too close to the model with the can of polyurethane. My paint table was also my table saw, so the model, wet with a fresh coat of urethane, plopped right down into a huge pile of sawdust. Not one of my happier moments.
  16. This reminds me so much of the annual car model contest that used to be held at the local Woolworth store here in St Louis many years ago. I used to walk there (approx. 2 miles), to Northwest Plaza to eyeball all the gorgeous car models. Very fond memories for me.
  17. The aforementioned decals. Pretty cool; no DOT tapes though, so I'll have to seek those elsewhere.
  18. Not usually, no. Though there was that time that I splooshed a half bottle of metalizer all over an aircraft I was putting the finishing touches on at the time.
  19. Detonate it in front of a model building?
  20. I don't finish enough kits to worry much about dust. Those that do get finished (especially if I've spent a lot of time on them), usually go under acrylic covers.
  21. Nice and slow.
  22. I like that body, very nice. Does Flintstone still do decent girl figures? I had one that I used next to a '70 Challenger T/A, and it looked pretty cool.
  23. Once it starts to become solidified from adding all the sides and stuff, Dan, it sure seems a lot easier to handle. A few boo boos here and there, but overall I think it'll be OK.
  24. I pulled out in front of a cop, and stomped on it (I didn't see him),... he rode my bumper for about a quarter mile, then turned off; that pleased me.
