  1. Nice. Always fun
  2. Great builds with super attention to detail. Your decal work is awesome !
  3. Awesome builds. The 70 SS With a ls6 454 was my dream muscle car growing up
  4. Thank you very much. It’s always nice to get recognized and respect from domestic car guys. I love all cars. If it’s clean and makes power, It gets respect in my book. I grew up in a domestic car and muscle car house, but my dad grew towards the turbo charged Mitsubishi platforms when I was about 8 or 9, and we’ve stuck with them since. I enjoy making more power than most v8 cars that are modified with something that has 4 less cylinders. Thank you. The skyline has been my favorite to build as well. Thanks Dann. The Subies can be a force to reckoned with as well. Do they auto cross, rally, or drag? Thank you, Evos and Subies have ruled the WRC for a loooong time.
  5. Thank you sir!
  6. Great looking builds. Love the cobra and the Skyline. What kit were these that you used?
  7. Great builds looks like you were busy. I really like the rollback
  8. Great looking builds
  9. Lol, thanks! Definitely took my time and double checked everything
  10. Thank you sir. I am pretty proud of this one. I’m pretty sure it’s the most work I’ve ever had to put in one as far as decals before clearing
  11. Thanks guys!
  12. The dragon is a wicked place. Lots of bad stuff has happened there for sure. My buddies keep trying to get me to go on the bike, but I’m not interested lol. And you’re right...I’ve had some $2-3k builds that’s out performed $15k builds. It’s all in the build...I’ve got way too much invested in the Evo though, I wanted to make sure it lasted. Stay safe.
  13. Thank you very much. Lol, yes it’s a few psi, 35psi on e85. Yes, it is a 2.0L, Buschur Racing bottom end, should be good for anything I ever decide to throw it’s way. I could probably up my turbo to something a touch bigger and make 750hp easy, but...where on the street would I use that? Lol. 650 is very streetable surprisingly, until you mash the skinny pedal and it spins all 4 tires ?
  14. Thanks Dann. I’m ready to be done with this one and start on something new lol.
  15. Great looking vettes you have there. Love the orange.
  16. Thank you very much for the kind words and thanks following along!
  17. I didn’t manage to get much accomplished before we left yesterday, but I did go to the local hobby shop and pick up some racing harnesses. I will definitely be using these on future builds as they add a lot of realistic detail, and aren’t overly complicated. I was very surprised being that it was my first time ever putting one of these together. I also glued the steering wheel on and the dash in the cage, but have yet to get to glue it in due to getting packed to go. In addition I did get the lug nuts detailed and one decal on a tire lol, there is still one more potenza decal to be applied.
  18. Had a pretty busy year not at the work bench, lol. I did get my 03 Evo back together on the fresh motor and turbo setup which occupied a good bit of my warm weather time this year. Not to shabby, 652hp on e85 @ 35psi and 512hp on 93oct @ 28psi. Just a 2.0L and turns 8700rpm. ? Anywho, this only left me with time to get 2 cars built this year, and a 3rd one almost completed but we had to leave for a Christmas trip to see my wife’s family out of state. First build completed in 2019 is a Tamiya Nissan Skyline R34 Nismo Z-Tune. I did a lot of research on this car to try to make it as close to the 1:1 as possible including all of the carbon decals to make the floor pans carbon like on the 1:1. The second completed build of 2019 Was a Tamiya Evo 6 with a Hobby Design TME Conversion kit. This one tested my patiences and required a full stripping of the junk Zero Paints and then the Hobby Design parts fit pretty ill. But the end result was great. The Pennzoil Skyline is my incomplete build of the year and will be finished as soon as we get back in January, lol. I’ve also included a couple pics of my evo as well as a dyno chart and a video. Not bad for a 4 cylinder right? FullSizeRender.mov
  19. Sweet looking builds! Love the blue ford and the tan one
  20. Thank you Dann. I hope to get a little done this week before we go.....that is if I can get all packed and cleaned before Friday, lol. Maybe I can at least get the wheel lugs detailed, windows masked and sprayed black, and maybe final assembly of the chassis.
  21. Looking sweet Dann!
  22. Starting out nice! Should be an awesome build as always.
  23. Great looking build for your first rally car. I've been watching a lot of rally car builds and I definitely want to do an Evo build. How did you make the antennas up top?
  24. Alright, this is what we have all been waiting for, lol. I got everything sprayed in Splash Paints 2k clear today that is supposed to be clear coated. Let me say, this is my first time using their clear and it rocks. This stuff laid perfectly flat with no orange peel and no fuss. There is only one tiny piece of trash on the 3 on the roof, so this is going to definitely help in the final assembly reducing polishing time. This works out great as my wife and I are leaving Friday to go to visit extended family out of state the rest of the year. So, it’ll have plenty of time to cure while we are gone. All of the spots that were on the decals vanished and this stuff worked awesome with the Shunko Decals. I’ll let the pictures do the talking. It’s hard to get the pearl in pictures, but it’s beautiful.
