Great looking build. Have a straight side shot to see the axle location better?

Looks really cool!!!! Too bad you did not have some M.A.S.H. 4077 decals. BTW, on the next one, the plug wires actually go it the top of the valve covers on a cammer. Just do not put your valve covers on the wrong side like I did! (square end front, beveled rear)

Right side I rubbed for a few minutes, left I did not. There is a difference. Will do it more and update -
Yellowed decals after being applied?????
Sledsel replied to Sledsel's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
HOLY SMOKES!!!! I put some bleach in a little bowl, dipped my finger in and rubbed the decal lightly. Kept dipping to keep it wet, rinsed with cold water, dabbed dry with a paper towel and the yellowing is almost gone. Needed to do it a bit longer I will try to get a pic, but my camera sucks -

Maybe I will just brush bleach on it! LOL -
I have had a project on the back burner about 6 months. Well, I pulled it out the other day, and the decals have turned yellow (kit is white, so it stands out) They were fine when put away. Luckily the body is not clear coated yet. Has anybody experienced this and have a solution? I had a kit packed away for a long time and a large decal looked foggy. You could see the entire decal on the kit (this one was not white) Well, I used Microsol or Microset on that one. Sat and bushed over and over, soaked it good, worked the edges with the brush and it cleared up. Thinking of trying the same on this kit. Thoughts? Suggestions? Thanks in advance

New Project for 2017!! 1957 Fairlane 500 Sunliner
Sledsel replied to Fast Floyd 2's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Looking nice. You want me to search for the cruisers? I think the connie is too far from the trunk still. Could be me, just looks it tho. I like the Rancheros. For as old as that tool is, it is more correct than the current Revell 57's. I am trying to locate some glue bomb chopped Rancheros to use the sides on the Del Rio. Piecing the sides to correct is time consuming -

Floyd, I may have a set of the Cruiser skirts for this kit. If I have them, they look like these I'd need to dig tho. -
Cool, looks to be a really nice kit. Have any issues you wish to share?

35 Yr. Old Monogram 69 Camaro SS-Now "Under Glass"-07/20

Okay, being a Ford guy, flaws in Fomoco kits jump out at me, so enlighten me, why does this Camaro look weird to me? I love seeing old builds get redone. Keep rolling with it -

New Project for 2017!! 1957 Fairlane 500 Sunliner

The body line on the 1:1 does fade away. There is one in my dads garage that I can see. Now, 4 door cars are deceiving because the door follows that body line This interestingly enough is the only part Revell got right on their 57 Custom body. The remainder is a mess IMO. -

Looking good. One day I will do one also. Love 57 Fords and the AMT is a great looking kit 2 bits of advice to do what you want with. The continental wheel needs lowered, All the ones I have seen are dropped down and stick just above the decklid. The only flaw on the AMT body is in front of the rear tire. Some shaving and sanding fixes it in no time -

Good job on a tough kit. -
I use those credit cards and phone type cards sent in the mail. Trim and use like a little bondo squeegee.. https://youtu.be/yEp5r5t_Os4 also, Bondo spot putty is nice for minor filling, but keep in mind, it will shrink with time, so do not use to fill major gaps or holes. Bout $5 at Walmart and will last a long time. Another tip is to get self adhesive sandpaper and trim and stick onto small pieces of flat wood or plastic to be sure areas sanded are flat with surrounding areas. The foam finger nail file boards are great (and cheap) also. The cardboard ones, not so great Keep up the good work

Great color combo. One of these is in my stash and I think I may "borrow" some of your ideas.
