Can be built up nicely.
It is not that bad like the Lindbergh kit!!!! That is actually a 69 body.... sorta.
Is a bit of a let down not to have the factory decals
Looks great, Been wanting one but will get the Revellogram kit and cross my fingers there are no corrections to be made on the body. My first car was a 48 Ford Super Deluxe Coupe
Maybe I'll install a Boss 429 in it..... Hahahaha. Actually it is going to a gift to my 14 yo daughter. She thinks Smart cars are hysterical and will love building it
Resins have their place, but not with me. LOL. The Merc body shows it's die cast origins badly. The sides are too flat, roof is too flat, and the windshield does not have enough "V" in the middle. I got disgusted with trying to correct it and cut it up. The headlight bezels were okay, and the 1/4 windows were nice. The rest of the body went to the trash. I used the good stuff on the AMT kit and took me less time to do the initial top chop than trying to round the body sides of the Revell to look un-toy-like.
Here are my thoughts of what we may see in the near future. Revell - Model A sedan, 57 Ranchero, tri-five Nomad, Pro stock Camaro. Round 2 - 57 Chevy flipnose, AWB Comet, 63 Impala, Cougar funny car.
