  1. I have built a few of these over the years and all came out pretty decent. Yes, it has it's issues, but in my eye looks good. I only pick on new tools. I will get another because I have been building some Saturday night stock car type of builds recently and this will fit right in there. Besides, I want to support R2 with their reissue program. Have my hands on a slew of old kits now that could only be found on ebay for stupid money
  2. 77 Pinto!!! I am in! Horray
  3. I'll be watching this. I only have one of these kits and am really torn how to build it
  4. Those Nascar kits are really nice. It is too bad more do not enjoy them. Looking good so far
  5. This thing is looking good. I see a small issue, but will keep my comment til it makes further progress. I sure would like one though
  6. Wow... that is some slicing and dicing. Looking good!
  7. Not much of an update. Been messing with getting the body right. I changed primer colors and the white showed flaws the red didn't. I did get the A pillars fixed a bit and new drip rails on. I also added a trim piece on the tail light panel. Not shown in these pics, I added carpet using felt because of all the irregularities of the Nascar floor pan. Came out pretty good in my opinion Some more wet sanding and it should be ready for paint. Once there is some color, I will finish other sub assemblies. I have a color in mind, but anybody have a suggestion?
  8. Sorry, I thought it was being done as a single 4 barrel car
  9. 427 4V cars ran an open element round air cleaner
  10. Even with it's issues, this kit builds up pretty well. I'll probably add another to the stash and I will continue to support R2 because of them digging out so many old kits making it possible to build them without paying nutty prices.
  11. I missed out on it then... Hope they put it out again
  12. That is looking great. Personally, I like the 77/78 Grill and tail lights.
  13. Those tires are right on track by today's standards....... LOL
  14. Interesting thing is after it is released the originals prices will not go down, they will just be listed as "Vintage" I recently even saw "vintage" release of the 71 Thunderbird (same box as newer release) with a buy it now of $99.... They will sit on it awhile I think
  15. Long bed, short bed, 73, 79, don't care.... WANT IT
  16. The grill (to me) looks like a modified 42 Ford grill
  17. I hope it is the correct version (Keep on Trucking version)
  18. I actually thought the same thing!
  19. I have a 67 Impala kit.... I need to look in there. Maybe these came out of it.
  20. I'll be watching this. Been wanting to see one of these kitted
  21. Did some bodywork on one side and laid some primer to check progress. I think it's coming along. I found a Daytona nose, but I think it would be a bit much.
  22. Very minor update: I decided to go with a Revell hood because it was much crisper than the AMT/MPC. Some work was needed FYI Even though it is a 70's car, I didn't like the rear tires sticking out. If I had noticed, I would have narrowed the rear a bit, but I do not want to tear down the chassis, so I decided to flare the rear quarters a bit.
  23. Cool kit.......
  24. That thang looks sweet. The driver must be really short though...... HAHAHAHA
  25. Definitely not the 34 Ford... I have that kit near, unbuilt, so I checked I have no Vettes, but a bunch of 90's AMT kits I will need to check FYI, pic is the same tire, just flipped over. I need two sets if anyone has extras (or one set of four wider ones) Also, gotta dig in my stash. At least now I know what to look in.
