That the resin kit from Missing Link? Looks pretty good to me.

I understand there is not a perfect kit, a little flaw here or there is not an issue. but when you cannot look at a kit from any side, front, back, left, right or inside and not see a flaw, I have an issue. They did nice kits in the 60's and 70's.... what happened?

If the 58 Ford was done, i would hope they fix all the screw ups on the '57's body and interior. Tired of correcting and hacking up AMT 57's......just sayin

It is looking great, love the paint. I am building a 1:1 version of the car and a kit to go with it. As an FYI, the distributor goes where your coil is. You have the distributor in the radiator hose outlet. My 1: to be a clone of the movie car.... and it does have a 4 speed already.

Saw them at Ollies yesterday, passed on the 32 for the 38 Van... Now I wish I got one

Very cool looking. Last one I did, I messed with the wheelbase to get it looking a bit better. I also cut out all the flat panels on the front suspension bars.

I personally do not mind the simplified chassis. These are really nice looking kits and pretty darn accurate body-wise. I'll take an accurate body over a detailed chassis any day.

I have had all these kits at one time or another. In my opinion, among the best from Monogram. Simple, to build and look great.

No they didn't.... Just Y-Block Fords were in the rear, never any FE Ford.

I was a fan of Art and am still a fan of Coast to Coast. Keeps me going when building at night. The show has always been a different perspective of things and really makes you "think" a little more. I used to drive alot at night and would search for him at 1am, listen til I lost the station and find him on another. Once I drove a 62 Cadillac home from Florida to Ohio and listened to him on Coast to Coast from Atlanta til the show ended when I was somewhere in Kentucky... The kicker was, it was a stock radio (radio search button was on the floor too) and I never switched the station when I found it in Atlanta... 1100am from Cleveland.

That chrome was an option, as was rocker trim and a chrome piece around the door handles (not on this kit)

Hope to see this return. I want to build more versions We know the tool is available.

It is looking good to me. I have only done the Olds so far and really had no problems with it. Now, I did a bunch of work to it out of personal preference. The front suspension bugged me, so I grafted the front of the frame from a Monogram 70 Chevelle. The Chevelle was 1/24 and the Olds 1/25, and the frame lined up really nicely. Granted, the frame is not super detailed, but better than it was.

Chassis was the easiest part, I cut 2 frames at the rear foot well and glued together. Added a center plate at the joint to cover exhaust and driveshaft and mimic a spot for a carrier bearing
