So far I picked up (2) 49 Fords, 57 Ford, 66 Batmobile, Ecto 1, 53 Ford Conv, (2) 76 Torino's, and a 48 Ford. I do not think anybody likes the Revell RX7.... there were a few at each store as of today.

Ok, the shock towers are removed, so what is the front suspension set up? -

Looks to be in a 55-57 Thunderbird -
I love watching Ebay prices drop like rocks........ although, some sellers will not come off high prices even for a current kit. Oh well....

Slowly working on the Vicky myself.... Watching to see more

Oooooooo!!! Cammer!!!!! -
A agree, the 1/4 window looks a bit small, but that is an easy fix. Still, it is 2018......

Looking good... Both kits are very nice IMO. I do a lot of summer painting to ready for winter building.

I have an original issue of this and picked up an older Revell 57 (opening doors and trunk) to try and use the interior and frame/floorpan into the MPC... No dice without major surgery so it will be built out of the box although I may remove the side trim. I see this kit returning in the near future from R2, so I will end up with a few more.

I have always loved this kit and have quite a few in my stash. Saw them on clearance at HL and grabbed another. Saw the Desoto bumper was restored and went to grab the other 2 there... but they were gone......

Great job on the interior. Is the spoiler home made or the resin. As an FYI, you could have saved a lot of trouble using the AMT body. I started on an AMT, did a bunch of MPC parts swapping to come up with my Shelby II Looking forward to seeing more of this build.

MPC Mustang II Cobra kits
Sledsel replied to Ben's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I doubt we would ever see the Cobra II or Mustang II in stock form from MPC. The MPC kit was modified into the Pro Stock kit (Dyno Don, Firefighter, Midnight Mustang) The frame would be easy to fix, but not the interior tub. -

I found the same thing with the long arm suspension, basically drops in. Build looks great -

Looks really nice -
That the resin kit from Missing Link? Looks pretty good to me.

I understand there is not a perfect kit, a little flaw here or there is not an issue. but when you cannot look at a kit from any side, front, back, left, right or inside and not see a flaw, I have an issue. They did nice kits in the 60's and 70's.... what happened?

If the 58 Ford was done, i would hope they fix all the screw ups on the '57's body and interior. Tired of correcting and hacking up AMT 57's......just sayin

It is looking great, love the paint. I am building a 1:1 version of the car and a kit to go with it. As an FYI, the distributor goes where your coil is. You have the distributor in the radiator hose outlet. My 1: to be a clone of the movie car.... and it does have a 4 speed already. -
Saw them at Ollies yesterday, passed on the 32 for the 38 Van... Now I wish I got one

Looks Great! I know why you enjoyed it, it is a very cool old kit.

66 Malibu SS (Monogram) - Updated 17 May 2018
Sledsel replied to John Jacobs's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Very cool looking. Last one I did, I messed with the wheelbase to get it looking a bit better. I also cut out all the flat panels on the front suspension bars.
