  1. And no sanity for their parents!
  2. The scolds in Indiana are closed until the middle of next month according to my son.
  3. Doing the same here in IL. starting tomorrow is what I have heard.
  4. Saw that this morning when I went to Kroger. Talked a minute with the store manager and he said corporate told them they may use this as an opportunity to permanently cut back the store hours at many stores. Said he wouldn't mind it here as sales have been way down during the hours between midnight and 6am. He said it dropped off when they stared closing the pharmacy early.
  5. Went to the store this morning. Meat department well stocked again, had some large packs of TP and paper towels on the shelves. Dairy cases were filled back up and it was quiet in the store. Only needing a couple cashiers to handle things. They did finally put a 2 item limit on coronavirus related items. They also had the entrance doors locked down so you couldn't exit through them. They had people running out yesterday without paying through those. The only thing I didn't find that we needed was Generic Tylenol. Funny, all the generic stuff was gone but the real Tylenol was stocked full. Guess if it cost too much people would rather skip it. I was just looking to buy our usual double pack and be set for the month.
  6. Have a friend works at a place that makes toilet paper and paper towels. He said they are now on overtime!
  7. Went to the Meijer store at 9:30 last night. People walking around looking shell shocked! The grocery side of the store looked like it had been looted right down to boxes on the floor and can goods rolling around in the aisles. Found the few things I went for and by then they were shutting down a lot of the checkout lanes with only about 4 in line at each. Most looked to be just trying to do normal shopping on what was left. Bread aisle empty, meat department only had a few high dollar cuts of meat left. Pasta aisle was bare. Most ready to eat canned goods were all gone too. Went to Kroger and found our corned beef brisket for St Patty's day dinner. Their store was not as trashed but lots of bare shelves. But their meat department still had a fair amount pf stuff left. The guy from dairy said they had a special milk delivery and that in this one day had sold as much milk as they do in a week! Didn't even bother to look at the paper goods aisles.LOL
  8. Next Thursday the wife has to go back to North Western in Chicago for more tests. She is very nervous about it. Our family doctor and cardiologist are both calling patients and telling those with just general followups to not come to the office but to call on that day and they will determine if you need to come in. I asked if we were getting charged for that call (as an appointment) and they wouldn't answer.LOL I went yesterday to pick up a sample inhaler for the wife and they hospital the doctor's office is in looked like a ghost town! All the self check-in kiosks are posted out of order and signs telling people if they have a cough and fever to only enter through the ER entrance. Hand sanitizer stations at every corner and even IN the elevators! Thing is what good are they against a VIRUS???
  9. Our prayers go out to your family Don. So sorry for your loss.
  10. One of my sons did that on one of those hard rubber dog toys early one morning before work!LOL
  11. She definitely was a looker. Remember seeing her in a Three Stooges short too! But don't let my wife see you knocking her, she just loves that show.(but not the later shows without Desi) I had to buy her the series on DVD! I do like The Long Long Trailer movie though!
  12. My uneducated Truck Driver guess would be it started in some lab in China.
  13. I know it seems extreme to do all of these closing where there would be close contact but really due to human nature you can expect hat many with symptoms or have been exposed to someone with them would still insist on attending these events. Case in point the dad that decided even though one daughter showed symptoms and the family was quarantined at home for it decided was ok to take the other daughter to a daddy daughter dance and possibly expose others! Unfortunately there a many that are just like that who would risk infecting others for selfish reasons like not missing a game, race or club meeting. Now as to some of the other hysteria. Was in a farm store yesterday to pick up bird feed and a couple ice cube trays and saw to women get into a fight over paper towels and napkins. (the store was out of TP) The one lady had grabbed everything on the sheve into 2 carst and refused to let the other one have any! Needless to say they both left without anything after the manager and a couple employees intervened. The manager then told the employee to take it all to the back and to make a sign telling customers to go to the courtesy dest if they wish to purchase those items and it will be 1 per customer of each as supplies last. He told me the truck was due at mid day with TP, toes and napkins any way!LOL
  14. I like the extra hour of daylight in the evening but I would settle for splitting the difference and then leaving it alone!
  15. It is fine if you wast to build it as a Malibu.
  16. I remember having to mow three lawns to buy a kit and paint for it when I was a kid! Even when I was first married it cost an hours pay for for a new kit.
  17. Great news! Wish him a speedy recovery!
  18. The last time I had a stress test they didn't have the nuclear stuff on hand so I,had to do the treadmill. It causes me extreme back pain so it elevates my heart rate even faster! They decided after it was done that the results would be skewed so didn't use them in the end. Still billed me though!!!
  19. Great job on a difficult kit! I did one some time back and more than once I wanted to toss it in the waste basket!LOL
  20. Great job Tim! Fond memories come back with these old cars!
  21. Yep. My wife's cousins have had a body shop for over 40 years. He said his insurance only covers cars inside the shop or on the outside only if damaged from fire that gets outside or if the building wall falls on them. Everything else is on the owners insurance.
  22. Nice one Rick! I had the same idea for that truck, just seems to be the right one for a heavy duty tow rig! How much did you have to alter the tow bed?
