  1. Very nice looking Peterbilt! Nice work!
  2. Glad to see you posting again Sam! The weathering looks great! I like it!!
  3. Thanks Bill! It's far from perfect, but I'm pretty happy with how it is finally coming together. I finished making the lower rods, and calling it a night. The passenger side of suspension is done except for some bolt detail. IMG_5782 by Brian Smith, on Flickr
  4. Thanks Guys!! I spent a lot of time on this project today, although you don't see much progress, there was good bit. IMG_5779 by Brian Smith, on Flickr IMG_5781 by Brian Smith, on Flickr
  5. Very nice build! Excellent shape for 28 years old.
  6. Very nice work! I've never seen a motorized hunting stand before.
  7. Very nice looking Jeep! Great work!!
  8. The offset may have been to add leverage to put more force on the drive axle, but that is only a guess.
  9. I'm trying to replicate the Fabco Westcoaster tandem suspension that P.I.E. used. Why it was off centered, I do not know. Here is a few photos. 10. Well I may be out of the contest, but I'm back to it now. After not touching it since July, I started fabricating the rear suspension. I also fabricated the tag axle. I hope to start making some progress now. IMG_5722 by Brian Smith, on Flickr
  11. I've been wanting to build an early 70's one of these myself. I'll be watching this one close, especially the fifth wheel lift. Great start so far!
  12. That car spent most of it's life in a box forgotten in my basement. I'm glad to see it finished and spending some time in the sun. Great combo!!
  13. Recently traded with "Drkerry" Kerry Ingram. Great trader! Would recommend!
  14. Very nice looking build! Great work!

  16. Very nice and clean build! Great work!
  17. Very nice and clean build! Great work!
  18. I would like to build one of these myself. We use to keep up the maintenance on one of these (F600) that was a garbage truck. We called it the maggot wagon. I always hated working on that truck, but would like to build one now. The cabs from 67-79 are basically the same as the cabs of the pickups for the same year model. The dash is slightly different in the larger trucks and a little more industrial looking. The one that we kept up had a 330 engine in it. It looked very similar to an FE (352, 360, 390) but slightly different.
  19. Excellent Work!! I'm not sure that it will fit through the shop doors though. Your builds are always awesome!
  20. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but depending on what kind of build you are wanting to build, I would assume that this truck would have been offered as a glider. Though it unlikely, the possibility of a glider finding itself with a 3408 is possible, especially in these parts of the woods. There was an owner operator here about 10 years ago or so that bought a new W900 glider and managed to put a non-computerized 3406 in it. If you're wanting to represent a specific company, you may attempt to find out what kind of engines they ran. If you're wanting to build a truck finished on the assembly line, refer to the great advise already given. If you're wanting to be different, the sky is the limit.
