  1. Thanks for all of the comments guys!! Thanks Dennis!! I haven't settled on a paint scheme yet. I plan on a moving company, probably Mayflower.
  2. I like that chassis color!! Looking great!!
  3. Great project! Short hood trucks are some of my favorite. Looking forward to seeing more!
  4. Thanks for all the comments guys. He reminded me that he helped with the half-track too. The ferry is Lego and he has taken it apart and rebuilt it several times. He probably could have built the Peterbilt by his self, but the flash was terrible. I trimmed and he put it together. Thanks again guys!
  5. Early Road Commanders had basically the same interior as the 7400. The ones that I've seen were just nicer (more upholstery). That is why I saved the interior out of the one that I made a daycab. This one came with a fiberglass copy of a 352 bucket and an Astro dash. I was just curious as to how yours were made.
  6. Thanks Terry! Thanks again for the sleeper. With a little trim the roof worked perfectly! Question? You said that you have several of these, are they all right hand drive? Thanks Dave! I'm not sure who cast the cab. I've seen fiberglass cabs from a company called Jaymar which became North Coast Hobbies that looked extremely thin like this one. As far as the original caster, I'm not sure, but it is from the same casting as the back yard shed cabs. It did not take me long to figure out why fiberglass is not popular for cabs. This stuff is like a brick. Thanks JT!
  7. I've been lacking motivation to start on the Highbinder, so after Terry, "Superpeterbilt" was nice enough to send me an aerodyne sleeper I started to work on this project. (Thanks Terry!) This is another project that I've been wanting to do for a while. The cab is fiberglass. It's very thin, but very hard. I've never worked with fiberglass before in scale, but here goes. This one will be a moving company. I'm leaning toward Mayflower, but not sure. Here is the inspiration for this build: White Road Commander 1 by Brian Smith, on Flickr Here is my progress thus far. I removed the roof from the snap sleeper and sectioned it. IMG_2089 by Brian Smith, on Flickr IMG_2091 by Brian Smith, on Flickr IMG_2092 by Brian Smith, on Flickr
  8. My youngest son turns 8 next week. He wanted to go to the swap meet in Salisbury with me this morning. He picked out an early birthday present. He and I put it together this morning. This was his first build. He wanted me to post it. IMG_2088 by Brian Smith, on Flickr
  9. I really like this one!! Great work!! Nice job on the weathering!!
  10. That is one slick Firebird! Great Work!!
  11. Nice project!! Question: How do I get decals from that supplier? I've think that I've used them before from Sourkraut's. I was very impressed with the quality and would like to get some more, but Sourkraut's sold out.
  12. I like the bigger drum as well. Good call!
  13. Looks great! That's a good idea to hinge one side.
  14. It even has Fireballs part numbers. Not a very smart crook.
  15. Thanks for all the comments guys!!! This one is moved to Under Glass.
  16. Thanks for all the comments guys!!
  17. Very Cool Project!! I've been wanting to build a yard spotter for some time, I've just never gotten around to it. I like your concept. I could see this one coming to pass around here. This one would definitely be powerful enough. Great work!!
  18. Excellent Work!! I really like the colors!
  19. Very Nice! I'd like to see more!
  20. Very nice!! Where did you get those glad hands and the electrical connector??
  21. Very nice build! The under hood details look great. The starter solenoid looks spot on. I'm really impressed with your plug wires. Great work!!
