  1. Same here!! Thanks!!
  2. Thanks for all the comments and encouragement! I was hoping to have an actual snow day to take outside pictures, but that doesn’t look like it will happen, so I took some pictures yesterday and posted this one under glass.
  3. Looks great! I like B Models!!
  4. There used to be one pop up on Ebay from time to time. I think that it may have been 3-d printed, though I am not sure.
  5. I have been wanting to build one of these for a long time. They were used to push trucks over Donner pass in the snow. It is not an exact replica of any one CF truck because reference photos are rare, but I did try to incorporate characteristics of CF trucks. My reference truck seemed to be a mixture of parts, so I built this one as fresh out of the shop and first week on the job, unlike the dirty look that most CF trucks had. It is powered by a VT-903 Cummins, it is backed by a 5 Speed Spicer transmission. I added the large air tank for the air starter. Bed is scratch built. Wheels are the first two hole Budds that Double Take sold on Ebay. Cab was shortened to 72”. I also eliminated the diamond tuck interior to make it more like a base CF truck. I was hoping for an actual snow day for pictures, but that didn’t happen.?
  6. Beautiful build!! I always liked these cars!!
  7. Excellent work!! I like the green CF trucks better than the white ones myself!
  8. I thought that I had commented on this one. Excellent work as always!!
  9. Your creations are always a work of art! Very realistic! Excellent work as always!
  10. As has already been said it varied per truck specs. Every old cabover Freightliner that I remember dealing with had the electrical plug in the back of the cab. Here is a picture of the two airlines at the frame. The green electric cord is just lying there. This one feeds out under the pogo stick. Possibly not original.
  11. Without the hints, I would have never figured this one out.
  12. Nice looking Freightliner!
  13. I like it! The hubometer is a nice touch too! I like the turn out on the stack! A lot of old A model Transtars had a turn out like that. Looks great! Very nice work!!
  14. Pepsi is definitely the way to go!! This looks amazing!
  15. If I’m not mistaken this cab originated with Autocar in 1950 as the “driver’s cab” also called “custom driver’s cab.” White purchased Autocar in 53. I’m pretty sure that that White offered this cab as an option as the “driver’s comfort cab” until switching completely over to the new cab. Of course White used this cab when they launched Western Star as well. White used this cab on the Dianond T after the purchase of that company and with the purchase of Reo as well this cab was used on the new Diamond Reo brand.
  16. This is the only thing that I find works. I usually soak in Westley’s Bleach White first because that is the old go to method, but the mold release is never removed until I scrub the part with Comet and a toothbrush.
  17. The outside pictures look Awesome!! Thanks for the info! Their website mentions vinyl cut decals. Are these vinyl cut or water slide? They look good in the pictures. Were you happy with the quality? How was their service? They look like they have a lot of good stuff and I was considering trying them.
  18. That looks sharp! I like the paint scheme!!
  19. I really like the look of this one!!
  20. Looks like a great project!
