Not Sure what parts you would need to backdate this truck other than new rims. Even the hard rubber tires could be re-used.

I have a stock (Well Mostly Stock) build in progress now. It uses this kit. My guess is, that if Round2 were to laser scan the body of a 33/34 Tudor, and mold it, you would have real problems telling the two (new & old) apart. But, there aren't that many stock Tudor's out there, and most street rods have had some massaging done to the bodys for better fit, and to "Look Better". But, I could be wrong.

How soon before we see this kit again? I'll bet there is a re-pop, (molded in white this time) with maybe a few lost parts restored by opening all the sprues & a correct hood, in the pipeline. Add new decals, some pad-printed tires & slicks and those 5 spoke mags, and you'd have an all new kit. I do wish they'd fix the hood issue though. Heck, give us two hoods. Couldn't hurt. You could get a 3'n'1 kit out of kit out it pretty easily. Stock, Drag, NASCAR. (Well, kinda-sorta NASCAR) Speaking of Racing, any way they could find the insert for the 4 spoke racing steering wheel? If you don't put any Flags on the decal sheet, and show the car only in white, black, blue or yellow colours, the dreadful heritage would be mostly invisible, except to us old fogies. Given that the Revell '69 is not currently on the market, i think it would sell well enough.

Man, those Headrests would make great Headlight Pods on a Full Tilt Showrod, though.

The new MPC "78" Ford Bronco has some too.

Tires are not great this time around either. Only part I need out of it will be the Decals.

HPI Guy builds it. Decent Kt, if you only want a a One Version Street Rod. No Alternate parts at all. Does have really nice Edelbrock Valve Covers and Air Cleaner, however.

I don't see it happening the first time out, but maybe later issues could have it.

I'd vote for either 1965 Kit. The El Camino, as seen in the Construction kit, with the small shell, or the Wagon. Both kits are perfect Choices for Race Track Tow vehicles. Be really nice if the Combo had matching markings for both Units.

So, is it done yet?
