  1. What a great finish you got on that Blue Paint! It really Pops out at you. The whole build is Awesome!
  2. Wow, You are still knocking them out of the Park. Great Build, Great Video explanations.
  3. Beautiful Build! I've never seen that kit built so well.
  4. Beautiful Build, and a Great Save.
  5. Squadron is back in Business. Much smaller, but still out there. They have retained the rights to their books, AFAIK
  6. AWesome Build! He will love it!
  7. Sharp Build, Mr. Blue! The colour choice works nicely on this kit.
  8. Indeed! I cannot wait to see how this build goes.
  9. I've had issues with the AMT Batmobile myself. I feel his pain.
  10. Blue, Not to scare you off, but FYI that Monogram P-51 is a good kit, but the tool was first engineered in the 1960's. It has had a Lot of plastic pumped through it. It has decent detail, but is now a real fiddly build due to worn molds. I have had several of that boxing and no two kits are exactly the same in regards to fit & finish. Not Unbuildable by any means but it can take some skills to get a good result out of it. Good Luck.
  11. So the Corvette Stingray engine is the one in the '57 Chevy? Cool! Good to Know.
  12. I can tell you a little bit about cutting the leather on a Cone Clutch. The Seam has to be at an angle. If you picture a cement mixer drum as the template for your leather, the seam cannot be a straight vertical cut from the wide end to the narrow, the shortest cut possible. Instead view the cone from the end, and visualize a clock face. Looking at the cone face on, the seam should start about at the 12, and slope down to the 3 or 4 number. It is a longer seam, but it helps keep the clutch from being "grabby", and keeps it from wrinkling. I heard all of this from an old time Authorized Franklin Automobile Mechanic about 30 years ago.
  13. That's Okay. It Worked for both the Coronet, and the '63 Nova Wagon, even if we did not know it, at the time. We'll wait.
  14. Charlie. Discount Tire now owns the Fisk Name, and Trade Dress. I had a set on my Pickup about 2005. It might be worth digging up more info on them. They could be used on Pre WW2 AMT/Mpc Kits, any way.
  15. Wonderful Engine Swap! Makes a great "Street Sleeper"
  16. Great Job. Your Recovery is moving along nicely/
  17. I saw the Thread Title, and my first thought was an AMC Hornet! Then I read the Thread. Beautiful Car, Great Build. I like ir in Blue.
  18. I like how this is coming! Keep Up the Great Work!
  19. I just hope they do not reuse those decals.
  20. Ugh! I did not move fast enough. I'll have see what happens next,
  21. Looking to build a 289 engine using the Moebius Mercury Comet Cyclone kit. It has an outstanding 289, but it is stock only. I'm Looking for parts to make it either Blown or Fuel Injected. I know the AMT Shelby Cobra has Weber Carbs, and the '65 Mustang has a Cross Ram Manifold, but are there any better options for a Full Race Dragster Motor? I can't think of any. Thanks!
  22. Learning I have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Explains some of the pain in my shoulders, wrists and arms. But, not all of it. Something else going on too. VA Doctors & I are trying to track it down. Lots of inter-related things I am discovering. Oh Well, if you're in pain, you ain't dead yet. Morbid, but the only way for me to face it. (that and thinking about models!)
  23. Looks good so far. I like the challenge you are working with. If I can ask, what forum started the challenge?
