  1. My Dad, has a '61 Chevy Pickup. I really like where this is going. The Caddy wheels look nice.
  2. Thanks for the Response, Steve. I can wait 2 more weeks for the official announcement.
  3. Awesome Build! The colour you chose is perfect.
  4. Wow! What a great build! You really nailed the look of the real thing. Great job on overcoming the small setbacks. (Missing Lens, Dull Chrome)
  5. Super Sharp Build! I really like the Colour and the Details in the bed.
  6. Nice Work on the Lindberg kit. You seldom see it built.
  7. Thanks, Chris. I did not know that the kit had a Ford Engine. Looked like a 283 Small Block to me. Hard to tell from the drawings in the instruction exactly what the engine is. (at least for me) I still think we might end up with the blanking plate, but I sure would like to be proven wrong.
  8. Here is what was in the box in 1960' https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/amt-instructions/automotive-cars--pi/ford/1951-1960/amt_1960_ford_f-100/?view=roll#1 My guess if it has been cloned is that it will have an engine blanking plate, since the kit has a Hot Rod Tri-Power engine anyway, not a stock engine that the Modern Modeler will demand. My Other Guess, is that the trailer will be cloned and most of the accessories will be in the kit too. Given some New Decals in the Round2 Style, and new tires and possibly some wheel options, Round2 will have another winner on it's hands. Hope to see it in due time. I also cannot wait to read what Steve G, has to say.
  9. Great Models! Equally Great Photos! Welcome to the Forum. P.S., I've always wanted to visit Woonsocket R.I. Not Sure why, but the name sounds so neat.
  10. Amen, Dave! A whole lot of empty space on the chrome tree to my eyes. The tires should be better. The version I owned, had those horrible two-piece hard-ish plastic tires, that no cement in the 1970's would glue. At least now it will have better tires and decals.
  11. The Lindberg and Revell kits are two different versions of the truck, and share no tooling.
  12. Yeah, that is a pretty shoddy deal. I can see why you would be upset.
  13. Good Luck! Not much out there for this kit.
  14. Isn't this part of the "Horn Toad" too. The bodies and engine look similar.
  15. Well, Not That one. This kit probably deserved new "Retro Box Art"
  16. Thanks for sharing those, Robert. Awesome build.
  17. I am going to the March Meets! First time since 2020! I am stoked. I intend to have fun, maybe see some racing.
  18. Yeah they did. But that is not the box art I would have used. Frankly, it is not that great, in my eye. I've had kit, and sold it on. Just could work up any 'feel' for building it. At least it has one piece tires this go-round.
  19. Great Pics, Robert. Cool Build! I really like what you did with it.
  20. Until Jeep/Stellantis provides tons of support (CAD Files, Dimensions, Photos) like Ford did for this kit, I don't see it happening. This Bronco is in some ways as much a Ford Project as Round2.
  21. Ace, I believe you have correctly stated the current thinking. 99% of these kits that Do get built will be done as curbsides. Yes, a few builders will sweat the engine and chassis, but most won't. Furthermore, most of the Engine/Chassis swap builds will get started but never finished, due to 1."A.M.S.", 2."look a Squirrel" and 3."runaway perfectionism", all maladies that seem to infect more advanced or skilled modelers. Meanwhile, many 'Facebook Modelers' will happily complete this kit, un-aware of the Chassis/Engine" discussion going on in the forums online. Just my 2cents, your mileage may vary, This is just guesswork.
  22. Valve Covers, Flattie Heads, Intake Manifolds...., Many things that require a 1 part "push" mold. But I could easily be wrong.
  23. Really? The it must have been the "Grant King Sprint Car" set. I do remember it being a huge box, I had to sneak into the house after dark. i was 16.
  24. AMT "Diamond in the Rough"kit. Purchased new in 1980. I still have the '53 Ford Truck. Wish I knew where the car and trailer went. Sits in a box, half built. Body is brush painted. I should just get it together. Second oldest build is an M113 With a Turret, started for a Twilight 2000 game in Okinawa Japan in 1986.. Since it is now 23 years past 2000, I suppose I should dig it out too.
