  1. Good Idea! I'll pick one up. I might work for this with Aftermarket Steelies. Now, to find the Decals.
  2. Some Videos of this kit. Maybe they will help some.
  3. Mostly, Resin Cabs will come complete with the interior and some of the trim for the cab. You have to provide everything else. Chassis, Axles, Wheels , Engine, and all the small bits. But it varies so much by Resin Caster, and Truck that it is hard to answer your questions without more detail on what Cab you are looking at. Do you have a specific kit or truck in mind? Regards, Alan
  4. I'd take one. Has nice a nice Surfboard.
  5. Well, Casey, You got your wish!
  6. I'll have to live with the tailgate. Maybe mine belongs to a different sub-station. Now to figure out how to build the lifted suspension. I am thinking the MPC Deserter, maybe to start with?
  7. Steve G. Any idea is Round2 Added anything to this kit? Any Extra Parts or decals beyond what was in the original Kit? Thanks!
  8. Very Nice! Always nice to see Police Vehicles.
  9. Or, you are in California. All Gas gets Ethanol. No Choice.
  10. You want this MPC Open Road Camper & the recent Round2 Firestone F350 Pickup, and a Whole Lot of building skills! https://www.spotlighthobbies.com/amtspedoproc.html
  11. Any news on when this may arrive here. 4th Quarter maybe?
  12. I just hope that this kit sells well enough to let Round2 bring back the 4x4 version.
  13. They probably got the axe in the early 1970's, as AMT was in trouble then. Look at the three Sand rail type Dune Buggies that were just detailed chassis with a couple extra parts added in. Desperate attempts to recycle old tooling without spending much (if any) tooling dollars. There was quite abit of that kind of thing going on then. I can see that some Promo Style Closed Hood Kits might have been scrapped just because they were not popular with many modelers then. Dennis Doty and Jim Keeler know much more about this than I do. I wish they would weigh in.
  14. Thank You, Sir. Now, I know what to start looking for.
  15. Good to Know, Mike! I still want one. Badly. Makes it almost worth tracking down the Resin body.
  16. I've just started watching the new series on AMC, Dark Winds. Another re-telling of a Tony Hillerman book, this version is dark, and draws you in like a magnet. But, the reason I bring it up, are the vehicles. Some great cars in this show, starting with the main star car of the show. A stock 70/71/72 GMC Suburban 4x4, it has a factory looking lift, that leaves the head lights about chest high. It is an awkward, stalky looking thing, in Black & White, with stark Tribal Police markings. It looks like you could use parts of the recent AMT Jimmy to start a conversion, but the tall suspension and Long Suburban body, make it unique. The are also two other cars so far that are neat. Jim Chee's 1970 El Camino and the other Tribal Police Car, a worn late 1960's 4 Door Chevy. I hope this series has enough 'legs' to interest a Diecaster into tooling up the Suburban at least. That Suburban has great screen presence.
  17. I work with Truck Drivers and Oilfield Hands. We don't see him too often, and he usually gets run off when he does show up. The work is too hard, and badly paid for his kind to tolerate it for long.
  18. The box for AMT 849, last issued in 2013.
  19. I remember seeing those in a Magazine back in the day. They were "Special" showing that our obsession with Low Running Cost, Low/No Emission cars is at 40 years old.
